In1999,a group of young intelligent men noticed that capital-intensive equipment management,from procurement,operation,aintenance toretirment,waseak even though the automation technology was in place and very advanced. However,no company in China was devoted to developingsuch software then.The grouprealized that there were huge business opportunities in the full life-cycle asset management software. They started Luculent Company with the mission of integrating automation and information technologies in asset management.

朗坤和中国电力投资集团共同研制并在通辽发电总厂实现最佳实践的“发电厂生产过程控制管理系统（PMS）”顺利通过由中国电机工程学会主持的，中国工程院院士倪光南担任鉴定委员会的主任委员，华北电力大学校长刘吉臻、中国电力工程顾问集团公司总信息师王聪生担任副主任委员，中国五大发电集团和国家电网公司的领导共同担任鉴定专家的技术鉴定。
鉴定委员会认真听取了该项目的工作报告、技术报告、检测报告、用户报告、科技查新报告等，并远程访问现场实际系统，审阅了项目有关技术文档，经认真讨论，一致认为：“发电厂生产过程控制管理系统（PMS）”设计思想先进、功能完善、技术创新性突出，整体达到国际先进、国内领先水平，具有良好的推广应用价值。
ProduceManagement System for Powerplants,jointly developed by Luculent and CPI and was used to achieve enterprise optimum practice in Tongliao General Power Plant,passed the technical appraisement successfullychaired by Chinese Society forElectrical Engineering, with academician Ni Guangnan(from Chinese Academy of Engineering）as thedirector oftheappraisal council,Liu Jizhen (president of North China Electric Power University)and Wang Congsheng (CIO of China Power Engineering Consulting Group Corporation) as the deputy directorsand leaders(from fiveChinese powergeneration groupsand State Grid Corporation of China) as the experts.
Afterlistening carefully to the working report,technology report, testingreport,usersreport and sci-tech novelty retrieval report of the project,visiting thereal system through long-distance,going over the related technical documentationsoftheprojectand careful discussion, theappraisal council appraises PMS like this:“PMS isadvanced in design，perfectinfunction,creativein technology，advancedin the world and pioneering in the country and can be applied widely.”

2011年3月18日，中国电机工程学会在北京组织召开了“发电厂牛产过程控制管理统（IM）研发与应用”项目技术鉴定会，鉴定委员会认真听取了该项目的工作报告，技术报，检测报告、用户报告、科技查新报告等，并送程访间现场实际系统，审阅了项目有关技术文档，经认真讨论，形成如下鉴定意无：
项目的主要创新点在于，据发电生产过程控制管理目标，PS建立了完备的、基于发电企业价值链优化的管拉一作化结构模型，构建了安全生产过程的风险预控体系，实现了发电生产过程控制业务的闭环管理、全过程造测以与相关业务的有机融合：根据主务模型设计研发了先进的数据模型，应用自主开发的LEN平合和工作洲引，实现了子服务的流程馆排和经果控制，具有良好的开教性、安全性和可筆性。
项月在中电投通運发电总厂实施4年以来，功能完各，运行稳定可，达到了预期的设计要求，足著提新了安全牛产会过程的管理水平
