阅读是英语学习极为重要的语言技能,也是学习者获取信息、提升文化意识、培养思维品质的主要途径。教育部2022年颁布的《义务教育英语课程标准》对七至九年级学生的英语语言能力进行了分级,对学生如何运用书面语篇提升理解性技能提出了具体要求。据此,我们对本套书进行了修订。全套书共分5册,供七至九年级使用。它的基本特点如下:
1.单元设置、主题和话题及难易程度与教材同步,便于学生巩固课本知识,并做适当拓展。2.语言材料的真实性和时效性强;语篇类型丰富,包含了大量与文本内容匹配的多模态语篇,如插图、图表等。3.将流利性阅读(fuent reading)与策略性阅读(strategic reading)相结合,在注重流利性培养的同时,寓阅读策略于阅读活动之中,注重阅读技能与说、写等其他技能训练的结合。本书每一单元分为以下5个部分:
“热身活动”(Appetizers):
通过直观的图片,使学生能将图片信息与自身背景知识结合起来以更有效地构建意义,为后继阅读做铺垫。同时,培养他们使用词典的习惯。●“语言知识”(Soups):复习每一单元的主要生词、短语、语法点和句型,需要学生在完成重新识别、操练运用的同时,为进入“阅读训练”做好准备。“阅读训练”(MainCourses):每个单元的主体部分,又分为“Read&Act”“Read&Think”和“Read&Write”3个小部分。
“Read&Act”部分
注重阅读和口语训练的结合,通过表演等形式,为不同学习风格的学生提供多种理解和运用语言的途径。
“Read&Think”部分的阅读活动设计旨在体现从理解、应用、分析、评价到创新等思维能力的培养,并融入了阅读策略的指导,帮助学生学会阅读。
“Read&Write”部分注重读写训练的结合,学生通过有引导的、有控制的多种书面输出活动,进一步深入理解语篇意义、运用语言。
●“学学做做”(Desserts):包含Read& Play 部分。该部分的设计基于英语学习活动观,旨在通过微型任务或项目达成语言的迁移创新;小组活动形式也能够培养学生的合作能力。
●“欣赏提高”(Drinks):旨在引导学生阅读和欣赏一些英语成语、小诗和英语影片台词等,增加文化知识输入、提升文化意识。英汉语言文化的对比旨在增进对中华传统文化的了解、培养跨文化意识。
本书主编汪加华,编写人员为汪吟、郑斐斐、周银芳、鲁蓉蓉。由于编者水平有限,加之成书时间仓促,书中必定有谬误与疏漏之处,敬请读者批评指正,以便再版时修正、补充。
