
Paris 2024:"Pigeons"flying off shelves at souvenir stores
On July 8, 2023 one year before the 2024 Paris Olympic and Paralympic Games,a second official store opened at the Louvre, the world's most visited museum.Shelves of the boutiques display a range of official items with five Olympic rings, Olympic flame, and emblem for Paris

According to Paris
2024 official
website,the emblem combines three
separate symbolsthe gold medal, the flame Marianne, the French public.
Each of these symbols reflects a part of identity and values. It is also the first time in history the same emblem has been used for both the Olympic Games and the Paralympic Games. "It is a very meaningful activity" said Cole,a local Parisian lives near the souvenir stores.
Hanfu associations flourishing in Paris
On October 22, 2023, in celebration of the traditional Chinese festival known as the Double Ninth Festival, 27 Hanfu lovers dressing in a traditional Chinese clothing,gathered at the Buttes-Chaumont Park in Paris. Both Chinese people and French enthusiasts enjoyed the activities,said Jing Jing, the organizer of this event, also the founder of a Hanfu amateur group in France known as the Mugua/ Association".
Established on August 9, 2022, Mugua gathered as a response to the Dior's cultural appropriation," Jingjing recalled. The group quickly assembles 80 members, majority of which are Chinese people and few are French enthusiasts. Named after a line from an ancient Chinese poetry collection The Book of Songs,You throw a peach to me, I give you a white jade for friendship," Mugua has organized various cultural activities to display Chinese traditional food, art, and handicrafts in Paris.

Civilization and Yucatan Maya which are both rare language classes in China. He mainly teaches
Spanish while Nahuatl
and Mayan, indigenous language of Latin
America, are also part of his courses. Zhang
learned them when he
studied and researched in Mexico.

SISU co-hosts Sino-Arab G60 Cooperation Development Promotion Center

The Sino-Arab G60 Cooperation Development Promotion Center hosted at Shanghai International Studies University(SISU) on November 8 was to promote industrial collaboration, cultural and talent exchange between G60 enterprises and Arab enterprises.
G60 refers to Yangtze River Delta G60Science &Technology Vally, among which Songjiang, Shanghai is one important cities. Development in this area helps research institutions and technological enterprises to find creative solutions to key problems.
Jiang Feng, President ofthe China-Arab Reform and Development Research Center as well as the Secretary of SISU has been committed to cultivating multilingual talents for both China and Arab countries to promote the cooperation in economy and culture.
The center will improve education and cultural exchanges and cooperation by organizing Sino-Arab cultural research, investigation,and academic conferences. Many places are assigned as research and training bases for visiting and investigating officials from Arab countries, including the Yunjian Culture and Art Center as well as the Songjiang Mosque.
SISU will build a platform gathering multilingual talents and cultural resoives for China-Arab economic and trade cooperation by 2025. This will further expand international influence.
