Boiled Wool

The soft, curly fibres obtained chiefly from the fleece of

domesticated sheep, and used extensively in both knit

and weave manufacturing. Wool may be differentiated

from hair, that made to particular outlook and handfeels when applying special spin and treatments.

The technical agitation causes the scaly surface of

wool fibres interlocked, producing a tighter and denser

touch. The felted fabric is finer in all directions than

the regular. Therefore, boiled wool is warm, durable

and resistant to water and wind.
