九十年代我国进行了大规模基础建设，兴建了大量公路、铁路、桥梁、码头、高层建筑，推动了大直径桩基工程的发展。当时由于市场的需求、施工队伍如雨后春笋般应运而生，但是由于当时对桩基技术不熟悉、专业机械设备也很缺乏，因而需要获得专业的技术咨询和指导以解决工程上的难题。
针对这一情况，河南省科学技术委员会委托洛阳九久技术开发有限公司筹备，于1993年在河南省郑州市组织召开并主持了“全国大口径工程井施工技术研讨会”。会议开得很成功，与会代表都感到收获很大，一致要求成立一个全国性的大口径工程井施工技术协作网，以便于进行技术指导、技术咨询、进行交流。协作网的筹备工作由洛阳九久技术开发有限公司承接。1994年在宜昌学术研讨会上正式成立了“全国大口径工程井施工技术协作网”，选举产生了第一届理事会，随后不久纳入全国公路协会系统。
协会发展至今，已有近300家会员单位。为基础行业施工、科研、装备、材料单位进行技术交流与合作搭建了良好的平台。为全国大口径工程井(桩)行业在技术进步、工程施工、工法改进、钻机(具)设计制造、新型材料创新发展做出了应有的贡献。
协会办会二十多年来，紧紧围绕全国大口径工程井(桩)协会的宗旨和目标，坚持按章程履行好职责，务实有效地开展各项工作，切身实际为会员服务。先后在郑州、黄山、长沙、南京、深圳等地召开了技术研讨会。除此之外还组织专家学者前后编写了《大口径工程并施工技术》及《大直径桥梁工程桩》二本专业书，协会的成员联合编写了《中国现代公路桥梁技术丛书》，同时先后出版了十本《大口径施工技术论文集》。再者协会注重施工队伍的培训工作，先后主办了不同形式的培训班。为施工、机具单位的技术进步提供了有效的帮助。
2016年9月“国际大口径工程井（桩)协会”在香港注册成功，至此，协会正式更名为“国际大口径工程井（桩）协会”。同年10月协会在福州召开第六届换眉会员大会，选举产生了新一任领导班子。
2016年、2021年易通连续两届连任协会理事长单位，相信在历任理事长单位和广大会员单位的鼎力支持下，协会的明天更加美好！
Inthe 1990s,China carried out large-scale infrastructure construction,including the construction of numerous highways, railways,bridges,docks,and high-rise buildings,which promoted thedevelopmentof large-diameter pile foundation engineering.At that time,due to marketdemand,construction teamsemerged rapidly,buttherewasa lackoffamiliaritywithpilefoundation technology and a shortage of specialized machinery and equipment. Therefore, professional technical consultation and guidance were needed to solve engineering challenges.In response to this situation,the Science and Technology Commission of Henan Province entrusted Luoyang Jiujiu Technology Development Co., Ltd.to prepare and organize the "National Large-Diameter Well Construction Technology Seminar"in Zhengzhou,Henan Province in 1993.The conference was very successful,and the participating representatives felt that they gained a lot.They unanimously called for the establishment of a nationallarge-diameter wellconstruction technology collaboration network to facilitate technical guidance, consultation,and exchange.Luoyang Jiujiu Technology Development Co.,Ltd.undertook the preparatorywork forthe collaborationnetwork.In1994,the"National Large-DiameterWell Construction Technology Collaboration Network"wasofficially establishedat theacademicseminarin Yichang,and the first council was elected. It was soon incorporated into the national highway association system.Up to now, the association has nearly 300 memberunits,providinga good platform for technicalexchangeand cooperationamongconstruction,scientific research,equipment, andmaterial unitsin the basic industry.It has made significant contributions to the technological progress,engineering construction, process improvement,drilling machine design and manufacturing,and innovative development of newmaterialsin the nationallarge-diameterwell(pile)industry.
Overthe past twentyyears,theassociation hasclosely focusedon the purpose and goals of the National Large Diameter Foundation Engineering Piling Association,adhering tothecharterandfulfilling itsresponsibilities.It has pragmaticallyandeffectively carried out variousworkand provided practical servicesto itsmembers. Technical seminars have been held in cities such as Zhengzhou, Huangshan, Changsha, Nanjing,and Shenzhen. In addition, experts and scholars have compiled two professional books,"Large Diameter Foundation Engineeringand Construction Techniques" and "Large DiameterBridge Piling for Engineering,"and association members have jointly compiled the "Chinese Modern Highway and Bridge Technology Series."Furthermore,ten volumes of "Large Diameter Construction Techniques" have been published.The association also emphasizes training programs for construction teamsand has organized various forms of training classes,providing effective assistance for thetechnological advancementof construction and equipment units.
InSeptember2016, the "lnternational Large Diameter Foundation Engineering Piling Association" was successfully registered in Hong Kong.Since then,the association has oficially been renamed the "International Large Diameter Foundation Engineering Piling Association."In October of the same year,the association held the 6th Annual General Meeting in Fuzhou,where a new leadership team waselected.
In2016 and 2021,Etone was re elected as the chairman of the association for two consecutive terms.With the support of past executive committee unitsand numerous member organizations,it is believed thattheassociation'sfuturewillbe even brighter.
