The Xi'an Gaoling project servesa population of 2.62 million,processes about 890,00 tonnes of municipal solid waste annually,generatesabout 400 millon kilowat-hours of electricity per year,and reduces greenhouse gas emissions byabout 322,0o0 tonnes annually.Upon the commissioning of thecombined heat and power project in 2024,it will provide about 960,0o0 GJof heat per year,heating anarea of around 3.9 million square metres in Gaoling'surban districtand benefiting 38,0o0 households.
Inspired bythe conceptofa"Honeycomb"and infused with elements from Xi'an's13-dynastyancient capital heritage,this project employsadvanced ultra-clean,intelligent,and low-emission technologies.It synergistically processes sludge,leachate,kitchen waste digestate,and more,while providing residential heating for Gaoling District. By effectively reducing energy consumption and emissions,it drivesthe circular economy and supports energy transition.
