With strong research and manufacturing ability in major technology equipment and extreme manufacturing capacity of smelting 900-ton molten steel, pouring 700-ton steel ingot, manufacturing 500-ton steel casting and 400-ton forged steel each time.
Equipped with 160 MN and 120 MN hydraulic presses — among the world's finest heavy forging capabilities —SINOMACH-HE can forge ingots up to 700 t and produce finished forgings up to 400 t, with an annual forging output of 200,000 t. The 160 MN press handles forgings up to 400 t with ring diameters up to Φ7500 mm and shell diameters up to Φ7100 mm, while the 120 MN press handles forgings up to 300 t with ring diameters up to Φ5800 mm and shell diameters up to Φ5100 mm. Complemented by a 7,500-ton horizontal ring rolling mill that delivers high automation and production efficiency, precisely controlling the geometry and surface flatness of cylindrical sections to significantly improve forging blank quality, SINOMACH-HE produces more than 400 large cylinder forgings annually.

Rolling & Heat treatment
Our CNC three-roller plate rolling machines at the Deyang and Zhenjiang bases cold-roll plates up to 4000 mm wide (200 mm thick at Deyang, 220 mm at Zhenjiang), with hot and asymmetric rolling for heavy shell fabrication. Our China-leading heat treatment capability includes quenching systems with Φ9 m × 8 m and Φ8 m × 8 m water tanks (4,500/3,000 t/h circulation, served by 320 t and 250 t cranes), pit-type furnaces of 1.8 m × 30 m, and bogie car, localized and vertical furnaces up to 8 m × 9 m × 30 m handling workpieces up to 3,000 t.
Our welding capability is backed by 20 narrow-gap welding machines, 24 strip overlay welding stations, 6 saddle-type SAW machines, 4 inner-wall overlay welding machines for small pipes and 3 hot-wire TIG automatic welding systems, together with large anti-floating welding rollers from 500 t to 3,000 t, positioners up to 250 t, 6 positioners, 5 high-energy flaw detection rooms and 6 heat treatment furnaces — a complete in-house welding and NDT infrastructure for heavy pressure vessels.
Our machining capability ranks among the best in China and at a world-class level, with more than 30 large CNC boring machines, over 40 heavy-duty CNC vertical lathes and more than 20 CNC gantry milling and boring machines (up to 5.5 m × 17 m), enabling turning of components up to Φ16 m in diameter and 12 m in height.
Our NDT equipment configuration ranks first-class in China, backed by a skilled and experienced team with certified personnel covering UT III, MT III, PT III, RT III, TOFD II and PAUT II. Relying on this capability, we actively participate in the drafting of national and local NDT standards — the GB/T 40734 standard on phased array ultrasonic testing of welds, drafted by our company, was officially released on October 11, 2021, and we are currently drafting the Jiangsu provincial standard "Phased Array Ultrasonic Inspection of Welded Joints of Large-Diameter Thick-Wall Pipes".

We are capable of intermodal transportation and transshipment of goods by river, sea, road and railroad. For road transport, hydraulic combination trailers handle cargoes over 3,000 t. The Zhenjiang base dock features a 10,000-ton heavy lifting berth where two 850 t overhead cranes enable one-time loading and unloading of 1,700 t single-weight equipment directly from workshop to wharf, a 30,000-ton heavy ro-ro berth for equipment over 3,000 t, and a 50,000-ton marine berth for bulk and container cargo.
The pressure vessels manufactured us cover a wide range and variety of materials, and the products cover many fields such as oil refining, coal-to-oil, chemical industry, special materials, deep-sea testing, and special metal smelting. We are one of only two backbone suppliers of large forged-welded hydrogenation reactors in China, and one of only two strategic suppliers of large forged-welded reactors to giant enterprises such as Sinopec, PetroChina, CNOOC and China Shenhua, playing an important role in the construction of domestic petrochemical projects.
