Zolix 30mm optical cage systems include cage plates, cage cubes, cage mirror mounts,

cage system rods and other accessories.

Zolix offers a wide range of cage plates ideally suit for assembling Ø25.4mm

optics or lens tubes. The cage plates are 9 mm thick, available in SM1 thread or

RMS thread or Ø30.5mm through-hole in the center. All cage plates equipped

with 4 cage-rod mounting holes to match 30mm cage system and it’s able to

slide freely along the cage rods. At the same time, an M3 setscrew is set on the

outside of the through-hole, which can be tightened by a 1.5mm hex key.

Standard Cage Plates

The CSP1-25.4 cage plate is designed for

mounting Ø25.4 mm optical components, 9mm

thick, with a SM1 threaded through hole and

two SM1R retaining rings. There are M4 threaded

holes in the bottom for connecting cage-rods.

4 through-holes for coaxial rods are compatible

with 30 mm cage system. At the same time, 1

setscrew on each side that can be tightened with

a 1.5 mm hex key.

The CSP1-SM1 cage plate is 9 mm thick, and the

central through hole is suitable for mounting the

SM1 lens tube. The M4 threaded holes located at

the bottom are used to connect the cage rods.

Four coaxial through-holes are compatible with

30mm cage system. At the same time, 1 setscrew

on each side that can be tightened with a 1.5

mm hex key.

This cage plate is 9 mm thick with a centered RMS

internal threaded through-hole, which is suitable

for RMS thread optics such as microscopy lenses.

There is a M4 thread hole at the bottom used for

connecting cage rods, and four coaxial throughholes are compatible with a 30mm cage system.

At the same time, 1 setscrew on each side that

can be tightened with a 1.5 mm hex key.

Zolix 30mm rotating cage segment

plate allows an entire 30mm cage

subsystem to rotate 360° around the

central axis. This item consists of two

parts: one attaches to a 30mm cage

system, while another is enable the

coaxial component to rotate which

is attached. The plate surface has an

engraved scale with 2°graduations

that is used for manual positioning.

The rotary plate can be secured by a

flexible locking mechanism

Zolix cage cubes are compatible with 30 mm cage system, each side contains a

SM1-threaded through hole. CSC1-M3 provides M3 threaded bores on 4 sides,

CSC1-T6 features φ6 through-hole on the front and back surface. There are two

options for top surface and bottom surface: one comes with a central SM1 threaded

bore, another comes with a central M4 threaded bore.

Zolix cage cube CSC1-M3 series include: CSC1-M3, CSC1-

M3-A, CSC1-M3-B, and CSC1-M3-C, all of these products

feature SM1 threaded bore and M3 threaded bores on side,

the M3 hole is for connectingφ6mm cage rods.

CSC1-M3-A: The side offer SM1 threaded bore, the top and

bottom cover plates offer M4 threaded bore in the center

and one M4×7 Nylon fastening screw;

CSC1-M3-B: All sides offer SM1 threaded bore in the center;

CSC1-M3-C: SM1 threaded through-hole located in the

center of the top plate. The bottom offer M4 threaded bore in

the center, the others offer SM1 threaded bore in the center;

CSC1-M3: Without top and bottom cover, all sides offer SM1

threaded bore in the center.

Zolix cage cube CSC1-T6 series include: CSC1-T6, CSC1-

T6-A, CSC1-T6-B, and CSC1-T6-C, all of these products

Zolix offers two kinds of cover, one features SM1

threaded bore, the other features M4 threaded bore,

CSXY1-1 CSXY1-1F

Zolix XY Translation Mounts provide ±1mm

or ±3mm of travel range and suitable for the

installation of Ø25.4mm optics. The XY translation

mounts offer two drive types: adjuster screws and

micrometer(CSXY1-3A). For adjuster screws, its

adjustment accuracy is 0.2 mm per revolution. For

a micrometer screw, its adjustment accuracy is 0.01

mm per scale. These mounts offer SM1 internal

threaded bore and two SM1R retaining rings, also

compatible with 30 mm cage systems.

(1) XY Translation Mounts, ±1 mm Travel

• The travel range of XY adjustment is

±1 mm or ±3 mm;

• The adapter screw is M6×0.2 or

M4×0.2, and feature locking screw,

its accuracy is 0.2 mm per revolution;

• The micrometer is 0.01 mm per scale,

and 0.5 mm per revolution;

• Compatible with 30 mm cage system.

• Two adapter screws, ±1 mm travel of XY adjustment;

• Accuracy of XY adjustment is 0.2 mm per revolution;

• SM1 internal thread accept Ø25.4 mm optics;

• Mount optics up to 10 mm thick by using one SM1R

retaining ring;

CSXY1-1 and CSXY1-1F offer SM1 threaded bore that accepts

Ø25.4 mm optical components up to 10 mm thick when using one

SM1R retaining ring(included). Both of them offer ±1 mm travel.

A internal SM1 thread is present on the rear panel that allows for

coupling SM1 lens tubes. CSXY1-1 offers four Ø6 mm through

holes for cage rods and each of them is accompanied with a sidelocated locking screws for positioning. CSXY1-1F offers a M4

threaded bore for post mounting and is compatible with 30 mm

cage system.

XYZ Translation Mounts

CSXY1-3 and CSXY1-3A XY translation mounts

offer ±3 mm XY travel with two drive type options:

adjuster screw and micrometer. The movable carriage

is internally SM1 threaded and directly accepts Ø25.4

mm optical components up to 12.2 mm thick when

using two SM1R retaining rings, and compatible

with Ø25.4 mm lens tube. The front panel is also

threaded to mount SM1 lens tubes. There are three

M4 threaded holes in base for post mounting. They

are compatible with 30 mm cage system. The XY

Translation mount’s platform is 66×66 mm.

CSXYZ1-1.5 offers ±1.5 mm of XYZ travel for Ø12.7 mm optics to the optical axis of a

30 mm cage system. The inner carriage can move in the X, Y, and Z directions. One sidelocated locking setscrew in each bore can be tightened to fix a cage rod. The plate surface

has a differential scale for the moving in Z direction, its resolution is 0.01 mm per scale, 0.5

mm per revolution. In addition, CSXYZ1-1.5 features the M4 tapped holes on the bottom

surface for post mounting directly.

Rotary Quick-Release 30 mm Cage Mount

Cylindrical Lens Mount

The CSM1-F is suitable for mounting in a

30mm cage system, supports 360°manual

rotation of the optics, and comes with two

retain rings that can be used to mount optics

with a diameter of 25.4 and a maximum

thickness of 7mm. Besides, CSM1-F can

easily insert or remove from a cage system

without disassembly the cage rod by using

M3 locking setscrews and flexible pressing

block.

The top knob can be rotated manually and

locked by one side-surface M3 screw. This

knob provides a 5°scale to show the angle.

Zolix cylindrical lens mount for 30 mm cage

systems is designed to orient a cylindrical

lens or another rectangular optic horizontally

or vertically within a 30 mm cage system.

The optic height range is from 4mm to 17

mm by sliding the mounting arm. To mount

higher optic, longer rod can be ordered. The

mount offer an internal SM1 threaded hole

to mount 1 inch optics and SM1 threaded

elements. The M4 tapped holes on the

bottom surface is used for post mounting.

This mount is paired with our CSP1R-SM1

rotary cage plate, to rotate a cylindrical

lenses in a 30 mm cage system.

Zolix’s filter inserts feature two SM1 threaded that

used for Ø25.4 mm, 6 mm maximum thick optics.

Inserts can be attached to each other by using

the hook-and-detent mechanism on the sides

of the insert, a spring-loaded ball and detent

mechanism is designed to keep the filter inserts

parallel to each other. By combining with the Zolix

main frame, optics can be switched quickly.

Cage System Filter Mount with Sliding Modular Inserts

Zolix provides Filter Mount CSM1-SF with two

CSM1-SF-IS inserts for up to four Ø25.4 mm

optics, the inserts can be ordered separately.

The main body of the CSM1-SF features

a dovetail track and spring-loaded ball

mechanism that positions each insert. The top

also offer a setscrew for locking the insert in

place. The bottom features M4 threaded hole

for post mounting. The main body offer eight

M3 threaded holes which are compatible with

30 mm cage systems. The top cover features

four M2.5 threaded holes for stacking the

multiple filter mounts.

The CSM1-SF filter mount features a modular design that allows sliding inserts

with filters or polarization optics to be used with our 30 mm cage system, the

insert can be switched fast without removing the main body. Each Filter Mount

comes with two CSM1-SF-IS inserts for up to four Ø25.4 mm, 6 mm maximum

thick optics. Main bodies and inserts can be stacked along the optical path. The

CSM1-SF-IS insert can be ordered separately.

Kinematic Mirror Mount

Zolix CSMR1-AS is designed to mount optics

which up to Ø25.4 mm and up to 9.4 mm thick

in an SM1 threaded rotation carriage with a

SM1R retaining ring. The optics can be rotated

360°with 2°per scale accuracy, the differential

scale provides a resolution of 5 arcmin, when the

rotation carriage is locked by a setscrew on the

side of the mount, the micrometer can be used

to fine tune the position of the rotation carriage

over a range ±7°. The bottom of CSMR1-AS

features a M4 tapped hole for post mounting.

CSHS1-S Kinematic mount features a smooth

Ø25.4 mm mounting hole that is suitable for

Ø25.4 mm optic which is at least 3 mm thick,

the optic is held in place with a top-located

locking screw.

Right-Angle Kinematic Mirror Mounts

Zolix cage systems right-angle mount is designed for a mirror

whose nominal horizontal position is at a 45°angle, compatible

with 30 mm cage systems which suitable for building compact

systems. The ports are equipped with SM1 threaded bores which

Zolix provides coaxial-post adapter that is used to mount

a light-tight interface between two mating

optical mounts. The highly compressible foam,

6mm thick in an uncompressed state, can easily

SM1 Lens Tube

This lens tube features SM1 external threads on one end

and SM1 internal threads on the other end. Those thread

are mainly used to fix Ø25.4 mm optical components. This

lens tube is suitable for quickly building compact optical

systems by adopting an expandable design. Besides,

each lens tube comes with an SM1R retaining ring to

secure the optics. CSSM1-XXD features an external slot,

so the lens position can be adjusted from the slot without

unscrewing the retaining ring. After adjusting the position,

the outer sleeve can be rotated to cover the slot, and

comes with two SM1R retaining rings.

Zolix SM1 lens tube is normally used to fix Ø25.4 mm

optics and create light-tight beam paths to avoid the

affection from the ambient light. SM1 lens tubes can be

equipped with external thread or internal thread or both

of them. The lens tubes can be connected to extend

optical path length, it facilitates to quickly build compact

optical systems. Optics are separated and secured by

positioning the retaining rings at the desired position

within the lens tube through a ring wrench

Zolix cage system guide rods

are made from stainless steel, its

diameter is Ø6 mm, compatible

have M3 threaded stud(removable

or non-removable). It can be

reinforced or removed by using a

1.5mm hex key.

The integrated guide rods are made

of 304 stainless steel, its diameter is

Ø6 mm, compatible with 30 mm cage

system. One end of rod is integrated

stud which is non-removable, it is

optional between M3 and 4-40 screw,

the other end is M3 internal thread with

a line of straight groove. In addition, the

length is 5.6 mm or 12.5 mm

Zolix cage system guide rods are made from stainless steel, its diameter

is Ø6 mm, compatible with 30 mm cage system. Variety of lengths are

optional from 6.5 mm to 500 mm. The end of rods have M3 threaded

stud(removable or non-removable). This allows multiple cage rods to be

connected to expand its length.

Fixed 90°bracket

Rod Adapters

Zolix fixed 90°bracket is solid and features one

double-bored Ø6 mm hole on the side and M3

tapped-hole from the top to bottom. A rod of

Ø6 mm can be inserted into the hole and fixed

vertically with the rod inserted on the side, in this

way, a stable and compact combination of complex

accessories can be achieved , thereby improving

space utilization.

Zolix rod adapters have an internal bore on one

end that allow a Ø6 mm rod with a M3 locking

setscrew to hold the rod in place. On the other

end of the adapter, there is an external 4-40

or M3 threaded stud that can be screwed into

assemblies with 4-40 or M3 threads. There

is Ø1.8 mm through hole on the side used to

reinforce connection by a 1.5 mm wrench.

Vertical Mounting Plate for Cage Systems

Cage Positioner

The CSABV-2 vertical mounting plate mount 30 mm

and 60 mm cage systems vertically on an optical

table surface via four counterbored slots. There are

eight Ø6 mm through holes, four holes for 30 mm

cage system installation, and the rest 4 holes for

60 mm cage system installation. Each of them is

accompanied by two M3 setscrews, which can be

secured by a 1.5 mm hex key. The centered SM1

tapped hole can match opto-mechanical parts with

same thread. There is also a M4 tapped hole on the

side for post mounting.

Zolix cage positioner is designed to record the

position of cage plate for quick positioning and

adjustment. The positioner is 3.5 mm thick and

adopts flexuous clamps and is tightened with a 1.5

mm hex key. It is no need to remove any parts during

installation.

Alignment Disk

Zolix 30 mm cage system alignment disk is a fast

drop-in cage plate for aligning visible light, there is
