What is a craft pioneer? The Goose Island Bourbon County in

front of you is now a perfect beer on two major beer authority

websites, but it was too far beyond everyone's knowledge of

beer to participate in the beer competition!

In 1992, Goose Island chief brewer Greg Hall took inspiration

from a whiskey, cigar and beer pairing banquet to age a

unique collection of craft beers in oak barrels.

This was the beginning of the Goose Island Bourbon County

legend. Goose Island pioneered the barrel-aging process and

selected bourbon oak barrels to bring sophisticated flavors

that break the boundaries of beer. Due to the difference in

brewing process and cask selection from year to year, each

batch of Goose Island Bourbon County is a limited collection

that cannot be reproduced and is only available globally on
