Additionally, due to the power transmission efficiency, electrical supply stability, and capacity requirements of server rooms, a three-phase power supply architecture has become the ideal choice in server room setups. To this end, SGS safety laboratories are also equipped with a 100KVA high-power three-phase power testing capability, meeting the testing needs for high-power server products.
With the development of cloud computing and the establishment of more data centers, an increasing number of servers need to be deployed within limited spaces, making heat dissipation a major issue. Liquid cooling technology, known for its significant heat dissipation advantages, has become the main cooling technology in data centers. Liquid cooling utilizes heat convection or conduction methods by immersing or flowing liquid around heat-generating components to transfer heat away, thus demanding high performance from both the cooling medium and containers. Based on applicable international standards and its own testing experience, SGS has devised the following test plans for liquid cooling systems:

能源之星
“能源之星”是美国环境保护署于1992年发起的一项节能产品认证项目，企业自愿参与认证，通过认证的产品可以在产品上贴一个能源之星的标志，目的是为了减少温室气体和其它污染物的排放。能源之星企业服务器项目，目前是4.0版本，从服务器的电源模块的能效要求和服务器活动状态效率阙值提出了相应的要求。SGS具备测试并认证能源之星企业服务器的能力，助力生产企业获得用户认同成为可持续发展政策的忠实伙伴。
EUROPEAN COMMISSION
European Union is Energy-Related Products Directive, and its implanting regulation (EU) 2019/424 sets out the eco-design requirements and control measures for servers and data centers. This regulation has been in effect since 2019. Based on the designated testing methods of this regulation, SGS can provide compliance assessment services for related products.
ENERGY STAR
"Energy Star" is an energy-saving product certification program initiated by the United States Environmental Protection Agency in 1992. Companies participate in the certification voluntarily, and products that pass the certification can display an Energy Star logo. The purpose of the program is to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and other pollutants. The Energy Star Enterprise Server program is currently in version 4.0, which sets forth requirements for the energy efficiency of server power supply modules and the efficiency thresholds for server active states. SGS has the capability to test and certify Energy Star enterprise servers, helping manufacturing companies gain user recognition and become loyal partners in their sustainable development policies.

With the booming development of the artificial intelligence Al industry, servers play a vital role as key infrastructure. With the rapid increase of Al computing power, Al servers are also developing in the direction of high power and liquid-cooling, and SGS, as an internationally recognized testing, inspection and certification organization, has set up EMC laboratories in Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Shanghai, Kunshan, Hefei and Hong Kong, and has established a full set of high-level EMC and RF testing capabilities for high-power Al servers, especially liquid-cooled servers. 随着人工智能(AI)的快速发展，大量的AI模型训练和高品质的AI推理需要在服务器上进行以确保运行速度。这些在服务器上运行的AI会产生大量的算力消耗，从而导致同等量的能源消耗。因此，衡量AI服务的两个关键指标是：AI运行的速度和能效。基于能耗还有额外两个指标值得关注：运行时的噪音和温度。

SGS AI SERVERS - HARDWARE PERFORMANCE TESTING & CERTIFICATION
With the rapid development of artificial intelligence (Al), not only does a large amount of Al model training need to be conducted on servers, but many high-quality Al inferences also need to run on servers to ensure their speed. The massive computing power consumed by these Als running on servers leads to equally massive energy consumption. Therefore, there are two key indicators for Al services: the speed of Al running and the energy efficiency of Al running. In addition to energy consumption, there are two extra indicators worth paying attention to: noise and temperature during Al running.

According to government regulations (e.g. OSHA or EU directives), there are clear requirements for noise in the work or living environment to protect people from hearing damage. As servers are widely used in real-time in work and living places as essential and critical equipment for technology industries such as cloud computing, data processing and artificial intelligence, their noise control is crucial. That's why server manufacturers need to understand and comply with regulations and conduct noise testing, which is critical to enhancing user experience and people's health.

测试项目选择

TEST PROJECT SELECTION
Conduct noise emission testing based on the key configuration of the server and the different operating load requirements of the server. The main test contents include the sound pressure level at a fixed distance (personnel operation position, normal bystander position), the noise power level of the server, the uncertain value of noise, and the declared value of noise.
