Flame detector is the key equipment in Furnace Safety Supervision System (FSSS). Its role spans theentireprocess from boiler startup to full-load operation. It is used to determine the presence or absence of flames intheentire furnace or unit burner, indicating flame establishment/extinguishment. When the entire furnace or unit
burner extinguishment occurs, the corresponding flame detector contact accurately triggers an alarm. Withtheinterlocking function of the FSSS system, the operation of corresponding equipment such as coal feeders, coal
mills, main fuel oil valves, or primary air fans is stopped. This prevents the accumulation of fuel in the furnace, which could lead to ignition and the occurrence of catastrophic boiler explosions. Therefore, the performanceofthe equipment, including its reliability and detection accuracy, directly affects the operational safety andstabilityof the unit. Flame detectors of Beijing Far East Instrument originated from imported flame detection technology. After nearly 40 years of development, they have been fully localized, covering a complete series of domesticallymanufactured products. Based on microprocessor technology, flame detectors of Beijing Far East Instrument
detect the flame intensity and flicker frequency of the target flame, amplify and process the collectedflamesignals, and then analyze them through a series of calculations to determine the presence of the flame. Flamedetectors of Beijing Far East Instrument are widely used in the burners of small, medium, and large boilersinindustries such as electric power, petroleum, chemical, metallurgy, and papermaking. Product features-07-Operating principle
Based on the spectral characteristics of flame combustion, the presence and intensity of flames canbecomprehensively judged by detecting the flicker frequency and radiation intensity of the flame. The photoelectricsensor detects flame signals from the boiler burner and converts the flame signals into electrical signals. Afteramplification by the signal amplifier, the signals are divided into two channels, namely, intensity signal andfrequency signal, which then enter the DC channel and AC channel respectively. The intensity signal representsthe flame intensity, while the frequency signal represents the flickering of the flame. The DCchannel furtheramplifies the intensity signal of the flame, which is then shaped and filtered before entering the microcontrollersystem. The real-time intensity of the flame is compared with the set intensity threshold. When the real-timeintensity of the flame exceeds the set intensity threshold, it is judged as \"flame present\". The frequencysignal isan important basis for determining the presence of a flame. Only when the frequency signal is present andtheflame intensity signal indicates a 'flame present' status can it be determined that there is a flame in theboilerfurnace or burner.

It is a product independently developed by the Company by following the development trendof thelatest international flame detection products and accumulating years of experience in producing flame detectionequipment and on-site debugging of flame detection equipment. It is mainly suitable for on-site detectionof flamesignals in boiler burners mainly fueled by coal and oil. It has the characteristics of beautiful appearance, reliableoperation, small size, and strong functionality. In the design, considering the influence of the nature andintensitychanges of the flame signal in the furnace on the detector, a fuzzy algorithm is adopted to improve the accuracyofflame detection discrimination. Special exterior structural design is adopted to significantly improve the product'sperformance in operating ambient temperature. This series of products features internal temperature detectionandalarm functions for monitoring working status.
