Rebar,asteelbarfeaturingaribbed surfaceandalsoknownasribbed steelbar,typicallyhas2longitudinal ribs and horizontal ribs evenly distributed along the length.The formsof thehorizontalribs include spiral,herringbone,and crescent shapes.
Itisexpressed inmillimeters of nominaldiameter.Thenominal diameterofaribbedbarisequivalentto thatofaplainroundbarwith an equal cross-section.The nominal diameterof thesteelbar ranges from 8 to \mathbf { 5 0 ~mm } ,with the commonly used diameters being8,12,16,20, 25,32,and 4 0 ~ {mm }
