Principle Of Ultrasonic Welding

When the ultrasonic wave acts on the thermoplastic contact surface, it will generate tens of thousands of high-frequency vibrations per second. This kind of high-frequency vibration with a certain amplitude will transmit the ultrasonic energy to the welding area through the ultrasonic sonotrode. Since the acoustic resistance at the welding interface is high, so high temperature will be generated. Because of the poor thermal conductivity of the plastic, it cannot be dissipated in time for a while, so it gathers in the welding area, causing the contact surface of the two plastics to melt rapidly, and after a certain pressure is added, it is fused into one. When the ultrasonic stops working, make the pressure continue for a few seconds to make it solidify and form, thus forming a strong molecular chain to achieve the purpose of welding, and the welding strength can be close to the strength of the raw material. The quality of ultrasonic plastic welding depends on three factors: the amplitude of the converter and sonotrode, the applied pressure and the welding time. Why do welded parts need to design the welding rib of the ultrasonic welding machine?

The welding rib of the ultrasonic welding machine is referred to as the fuse rib, and it is also called the fusing rib column, ultrasonic rib and so on. An ultrasonic welding rib is a triangular column raised on the welding interface of a plastic part, and the sharper the tip, the better. The role of the weld rib is to gather the vibration energy at the tip of the triangle, and then the accumulated heat will form a uniform plastic melt flow throughout the welding interface.

The ultrasonic welding rib facilitates the fusion of two plastic parts and improves the strength of the welding. If weak welding

occurs during product welding using ultrasonic welding rib there will be a gap between the two plastic parts, and it is easy to find defects in weak welding. This avoids the occurrence of ultrasonic weak welding. If weak welding occurs during ultrasonic welding of products without ultrasonic welding rib, it is difficult to distinguish by appearance.

为什么被焊件都需要设计超声波焊接机的焊接线呢?

超声波焊接机的焊线简称导熔线，也有人称为导熔线柱、超声线等。超声波焊接线是在一个塑胶件焊接界面上凸起的三角形柱，顶端越尖越好。超声波焊机焊线的作用是将振动能量聚集在三角形的尖端，然后将累积的热量在整个焊接界面形成均匀的塑料熔流。

超声波焊接线利于两个塑胶件的熔合，提高了焊接的强度。使用超声波焊接线的产品焊接时如果发生虚焊，两个塑胶件之间会出现断差，很容易发现虚焊的缺陷。这样就可以避免超声波虚焊的情况的发生。而没有超声波焊接线的产品超声波焊接时如果发生了虚焊，很难通过外观进行辨别。
