Jean Nouvel (*1945) gehört zu den einflussreichsten Architekten

und Designern der Gegenwart. Mit seinen Bauten hat er weltweit

Architekturgeschichte geschrieben.

Fast schlagartig berühmt wurde er 1987 durch das „Institut du

monde arabe” in Paris, einem Gebäude, das auch durch seine Gestaltung eine kulturelle Brücke zwischen Frankreich und der arabischen Welt schlägt. Neben vielen anderen Auszeichnungen erhielt er 2008 den Pritzker-Preis, den Nobelpreis für Architekten.

Doch Nouvel, Sohn eines Lehrerpaares, entwirft nicht nur Bauten. Aus seiner Werkstatt in Paris stammen auch Möbel und

Gebrauchsgegenstände: ein Türgriff, ein Lautsprecher, ein paar

Sneakers. Und nun also ein Stuhl für VS: JUMPER.

Kennzeichen des JUMPER Air ist die doppelwandige Sitzschale

aus voll recycelbarem Polypropylen. Sie ist besonders ergonomisch geformt und unterstützt die natürliche Form und Haltung

der Wirbelsäule. Durch den Luftpolstereffekt ist das Sitzen sehr

bequem. Die mikrofeinen Löcher auf der Sitzfläche sorgen für

Temperaturausgleich und damit für ein angenehmes Sitzklima.

Die Noppenstruktur verleiht der Oberfläche einen guten Grip und

lässt sie farblich interessant changieren.

Die ergonomisch geformte Sitzschale des JUMPER Ply besteht

aus gebeiztem Buchenformholz. Der natürliche Werkstoff bringt

eine warme Atmosphäre in den Raum und fasst sich angenehm

an. Die Sitzfläche ist mit einem Antirutschlack versehen. Optik

und Haptik des Holzes bleiben dabei vollständig erhalten.

Meet were designed as chairs for office use. They are particularly suitable for

meeting and conference rooms.

When the user leans back, the material and design provide a comfortable rocking

effect that is further heightened by the lightweight, flexible seat shell. As a result,

the user is never constrained to sit rigidly in the same position. The spine is mobile

at all times, with the ergonomically shaped backrest supporting and maintaining

back posture in a more natural way – significantly reducing strain.

Active eignen sich besonders für die Anwendung in der Schule. In der Arbeitshaltung am Tisch neigt sich die Sitzfläche nach vorne. Dadurch öffnet sich der Hüftwinkel und die Wirbelsäule richtet sich auf. In der Zuhörhaltung neigt sich die

Schale nach hinten, der Rücken kann aktiv entspannen. So wird ein dynamisches

the student leans back to relax, or listen to a lecture, actively helping to relieve

built up tension. This encourages dynamic, natural body movement - promoting

The JUMPER Active is available in the seat sizes 2 to 7, as specified in DIN EN

1729, together with the matching seat shells (S, M, L, XL). It is also easy to stow

on the table.
