IV:定径区：拉伸材料通过定径区得到最终尺寸，定径区的长度因拉拔材料的硬度、截面大小和润滑情况的不同而不同。若定径区过长，在拉拔过程中会增加摩擦力，使模具温度升高，影响模具寿命，同时也会增加拉应力，拉拔时颈缩率、断线率都会增高，电力消耗也增大；若定径区过短，在拉拔时工作锥发生变化时会影响拉制品尺寸；一般拉制软金属材料的较拉制硬金属材料的短，拉制大直径材料的较拉制小直径材料的短，湿式拉伸的较干式拉伸的短。

V:出口区和出口锥角：出口区是拉拔材料离开模具最后通过的部分，它起到保护定径区不致崩裂的作用，出口区不宜过短，否则模具的出口端容易破裂;出口角是用于保证拉伸金属不致擦伤定径区的出口处而影响线材质量；在模具修整时一定要将出口区和定径区连接部分的尖棱磨去，使其成为圆弧过渡，保证线材通过时不被划伤。
