Brief introduction
AFDD(arc fault detection device) isa new electrical anti-fire equipment. It could avoid variousof fires caused by short circuit,circuit aging,heavy load,poorcontact,fault electrical devices,etc.Automaticcontrol isrealized bybuilt-incomputerchip.Itsoperatingprinciple:thedetectedarc impulse isprocessed,compared and identified by electronic circuit and MCU.Once faultarc impulsewhicheasilycreatesfiredetected,theoutputwilldrive trippingunit tocut off the load powersupply,so that thefire isprevented.
Function
AFDDaimstodetect hazardousarc impulsewhich easilycreatesfire(such asinsulationdecreasingbetween lines,load shortcircuit,poor contact ofconnector,arccausedbyhouseelectricalapparatus fault).Thenit triggers trippingunit tocutoff thepowersupplytoprevent electrical fire. AFDD isused togetherwith leakagecircuitbreaker,lowvoltage circuit breaker(overcurrent protection)to buildamulti functionelectrical protective device.Asatrueintelligentlowvoltageelectricalapparatus,tcannotonly prevent electricalfire,electric shockto human,overloaddanger,etc,but alsobecustomizedwithdifferentfunctions.
