1、推拉电磁铁是诸多电磁铁中的一种，通常被称为贯穿式电磁铁、撞击式电磁铁，以下统称推拉电磁铁。推拉电磁铁就是利用通有电流的线圈使其产生磁场，使其推杆产生动力推出，其材质用容易磁化，又容易消失磁性的纯铁或硅钢来制做，这样在通电时推拉杆会推出并产生磁性，断电后推拉杆动力和磁性就随之消失。

失电型电吸盘在使用当中装符合以下条件才能达到最大吸力值：

1、被吸物件必须是导磁性良好的材料
2、正确使用电源、额定电压
3、被吸物件表面应非常平整干净
4、被吸物件的吸合接触面积必须大于或等于电吸盘的吸合面（电吸盘的最 大外径）
5、被吸物件厚度大于 8mm 以上方可达到标称值的吸力，厚度减小，吸力 也减小
6、电磁铁与被吸物件之间不可以有距离、不可以隔任何物件：有以上任一 条件，吸力均会减小，这不到电吸盘所标示的最大吸力
