Hot-end treatment hood
HTH Mk5 series
The hot treatment hood is designed to apply a gaseous chemical product to the hot surface of
the glass container.
The recommended product Monobutil Tin Chloride (MBTC) / STARTIN S (recommended supplier:
www. bohemichemicals.com), is evaporated inside a dedicated hood (made of stainless steel)
where it reacts on the incandescent surface of the glass container forming a protective layer.
The application of this layer of chemical product generates many improvements on the container,
such as:
• Increase in mechanical impact resistance.
• Increase of pressure resistance up to 20%.
• Creation of a superficial layer that ease the apply of the cold treatment product.

MODULE

Technical features
The unit is built entirely in AISI 304/316 stainless steel and consists of the following structural
parts:
• Central section with height adjustment, with removable insert to suit on container mouth.
• Centrifugal fan to blow on central section to avoid coating on container’s mouth.
• Modular diffusers equipped with a fan to feeds airflow loop of the mixed vapors and to give a
uniform distribution of coating on the containers.
• Removable module to allow inspections: motors and fan mounted on Q.C. plate for easy
disassembly and cleaning.
• Hood and vapors working temperature to be controlled by thermocouple, completely
programmable via PLC.
• Fumes suction and exhaust system.
• Dosing pump suitable for monobutyltin-trichloride (MBTC) with support bracket.
• Container presence sensor for: dosing pump activation management, alarms management and
articles expulsion.
• Control’s system managed by PLC with touch screen terminal, equipped with a CPU for data
management, PID for cooling/heating system control and visualization of temperature diagram
through display.
Heating system
A heating system is installed to ensure fast turnaround following a job change and to keep air
temperature inside the Hot Treatment Hood at a set value. A precise temperature control is key for
high efficiency and to reduce coating product consumption, furthermore this prevents hood from
excessive dirt deposit.
Cooling system
It prevents from reaching air overheating inside the hood and is used with very big or heavy
containers. Such overheating would cause a consumption increase of treatment product and many
air outlet and passage to clog due to product decomposition. Cooling is obtained by blowing air
between outer panel and treatment duct. Fans are controlled by the main power cabinet.

CFU Central feeding unit
Technical features
The CFU distribution
system aims to
centralize the dosing
and distribution of the
chemical used for the hot
treatment on the hollow
glass production lines.
By placing the control
unit in an appropriate
environment, you can
greatly reduce the
exposure to these
substances on the
production plant,
containing them one
only dedicated area. The
system consists of a tank
suitable for corrosive
substances and a level
sensor, contained on a
safety tub to prevent
accidental spills. A
battery of dosing pumps
draws from the tank.
One pump operates as
backup of all the others.
The system is designed so that, by automatic control of three-way selector valves the backup
pump can replace any of the others in case of default.
Each supply line is equipped with a safety valve in correspondence of each heat treatment
hood in order to test the correct outlet and the absence of leakage in the distribution line.
The CFU is equipped with an electrical panel that collect the signals coming from all the hoods
(thermocouples, photocells, ....) and manage the input and alarms of each pump. The pipes
inside the control unit and those of distribution to the hood are made of Teflon (PTFE).
The CFU can be equipped with a filling station consisting of a large capacity tank, pump and
level sensor, in order to allow a refill on the go.

The cold-end treatment unit TAF has been designed to improve the lehr-end outer surface
spraying by wax emulsions to enhance lubricity and increase the scratch resistance of glass

NTR cullet conveyor
The NTR cullet conveyor have been developed to meet the demand for robust and reliable conveyor
to evacuate glass cullet scrap. Revimac conveyors are designed to work dry (not suitable for glass
wire), they are all made with hot galvanized steel structures and are divided into 2 main families:
single shop and multi shop.

Revimac NTR Multi shop
The NTR multi-shop has been designed
to the transfer of glass cullet coming from
the hot glass scraper and/or from NTR
single-shop unit.
Technical features • High load capacity (elevator):
width~580 mm.
• Stainless steel conveyor belts. • Cellar evacuation (can displace the
cullet from the whole furnace, up to
360 TPD).
• Transports from cellar to higher levels. • Combined plane conveyor with an
inclined conveyor.

ON-OFF mold cooling system
Working principle
This type of Mold Cooling System called On-Off allows the adjustment of the air flow only in the
position of max opening and max closing of the gate valve.
No intermediate adjustment is foreseen.
The movement of the gate is carried out by means of pneumatic actuator, connected to a solenoid
valve manually driven through a control panel.
This system works independently on each section of the Forming Machine.

The constant cushion pump unit controls the CC mechanisms of the IS machine, such as Invert
and Take-out. Baffle and Blow head can be also controlled, whenever installed. The system is
entirely based on PLC technology to operate under maximum reliability conditions and can be used
to control the Lincoln lubrication pumps as well.

Blow side articulated hoist
Equipment designed to facilitate the loading and unloading of heavy components on the
