marking is a passport for products to enter the European market. It is a conformity

CE is a legally mandatory marking in the EU market, and all products covered under the

Canada has a unified standards development organization CSA, the Standards Council
of Canada SCC is responsible for coordinating the certification body matters certain

This International Standard sets out principles for risk assessment and risk reduction
and helps designers to achieve this. These principles are based on knowledge and
experience of machinery-related design, use, incidents, accidents, and risks.
Procedures are described for identifying hazards, estimating, and evaluating risks and
eliminating hazards or providing adequate risk reduction at relevant stages of the
machine life cycle. Machines must be designed and built based on the results of a risk
evaluation, and ISO 12100 is here to provide guidance on how to accomplish this. The
standard consists of two main parts, one for risk assessment and one for risk
reduction.
THE RISK ASSESSMENT CONSISTS OF:
• Determination of Limits of machinery: The purpose of this step is to provide a clear
description of the function of the machinery throughout its life cycle, its intended use,
its foreseeable misuse, and the environment in which it may be used and maintained,
