2401 Type Pilot Self-Operated Pressure Regulator
2401 type pilot self-operated pressure regulator (referred to as pressure valve) does not require additional
energy, it uses the regulated medium's own energy as a power source, introduce the pressure valve's pilot to
control the valve core position of the pressure valve, change the flow rate through the valve, so that the
downstream pressure (B-type) or the upstream pressure (K-type) maintain a constant. 2407B type is mainly
used in the case of high pressure before the valve (0.2~0.8MPa) and low force after the valve (0.5~100KPa),
such as case in 50mmH2O (water column), 2409 type is only used in the nitrogen drain device and is used in
conjunction with the nitrogen supply device. Replace the valve with a 2001 type valve when used individually.
1. Air decompression
Upstream pressure of the valve 0.2~0.8MPa (When higher than 0.8MPa, pressure reducing valve should be

Characteristics
1. Pressure setting is realized on the pilot, thus it is convenient, quick, labor-saving and time-saving and can be set
continuously under the running condition.
2. Control accuracy is about 1 times higher than the 2000 series self-operated, so it is suitable for use in high-precision
occasions.
3. For the same valve, the regulation range is wider than 2000 series self-operated.
4. The reaction is particularly sensitive, very small pressure (such as the pressure of 50mm water column) or very small
pressure changes can be felt.
5. The pressure reduction ratio is particularly large, e.g. for 0.8MPa before the valve, 50mm water column after the valve,
differential pressure ratio of up to 1600!

Application examples
1. Replaces 2101 type micro-pressure valve
2101 type micro-pressure valve upstream pressure generally requires medium pressure to be ≤ 0.
1MPa, while the type 2407 with the pilot self-operated pressure regulator is not subject to this limitation.
2. For nitrogen sealing device
Storage tanks of nitrogen sealing device is covered with nitrogen at the upper end of the refined oil, the
pressure of which is generally around 100mmH20, and is controlled by a nitrogen sealing protective device.
When the liquid outlet valve is opened to drain the oil, the liquid level in the storage tank decreases, at
this time, the opening degree of the 2407B nitrogen supply regulator increases, and the nitrogen is added
to the storage tank so that the pressure increases to the set value. When inlet valve opens with oil inlet, the
liquid level rises, the volume of the air phase part decreases, and the nitrogen pressure rises, at this time,
the 2407-16B nitrogen supply regulator closes, and the 2407-16K nitrogen drain regulator opens under the
action of the pressure controller, discharging nitrogen so that the pressure drops to the set value. To
ensure the safety of storage tanks, breathing valve should be installed at the top of the tank.
Nitrogen supply pressure regulation: Select a set value such as 1KPa (100mm.W.C) in the 2407-16B
pressure regulator, and achieve it by adjusting the amount of pre-compression (extension) of the main
spring 1;
Nitrogen discharge pressure regulation: In the pressure controller part of 2407-16K discharge valve, it is
reached by adjusting the main spring pre-compression, generally to avoid frequent opening and closing of
nitrogen sealing device, the nitrogen discharge set value should be far away from the nitrogen supplying
pressure set value, for example, 2KPa (200mm.W.C). Breathing valve set value regulation: After the above
two set values are adjusted, in order to avoid frequent opening and closing of the breathing valve, the
breathing valve set value should be greater than the pressure discharge set value. The two settings should
also not be too close. Breathing valve model: 2701 type. 2001-16B pressure set value is Pc, 2001-16K
pressure set value P1, values Pc and P1 can not be too close, so as the valve not to work too frequently,
breathing valve discharge pressure P2 set value should be greater than P1, values P1 and P2 can not be
too close as well. The relationship between the three Pc<P1<P2.

1. 2409-16B valve pressure taking location should be closer to the storage tank (or buffer tank).
2. The pressure gauge should be placed not far from the pressure taking point to avoid
unnecessary disputes.
3. 2409-16B pipeline after valve should not be too small (generally larger than the pipeline before
the valve).
