Nicolas Villeroy and Jean-François Boch signed into being the amalgamation, which holds good to this day.

A passionate ceramicist and an entrepreneur: the son, Pierre-Joseph Boch, was forever in search of the perfect shape and mixture.

Nicolas Villeroy was an astute businessman with a talent for optimising processes.

What began with small editions of ceramic crockery back in the 17th century went on to change the everyday lives and home comforts of whole generations. From the early 19th century onwards, new casting and production methods enabled Villeroy& Boch to play a major role in the democratisation of the bathroom. In keeping with the aspirations of its founders, Nicolas Villeroy and Jean-François Boch, today's global enterprise continues to pursue ever higher standards, with innovation firmly ingrained in its DNA.
