constitutes a strategic functional zone underpinning the high-quality development of the Chengdu Metropolitan
Circle. Currently, it is accelerating the construction of a world-class heavy equipment manufacturing base, the
China Equipment Science and Technology City, an international tourism city and an advanced manufacturing
hub for the Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle，In 2025, Deyang ranked 86th among China's Top 100 Cities.

发展历程 Development History
德阳经开区成立于1992年，2010年升级为国家级经开区，位于德阳主城区正南区域，距
国家中心城市成都40公里，是成渝地区双城经济圈和环成都都市圈的重要节点。面积
81.27平方公里，下辖旌东和八角井2个街道，常住人口30余万人。
Established in 1992, the Deyang Economic and Technological Development Zone (Deyang ETDZ) was upgraded to a
national-level economic and technological development zone in 2010. Located south of central Deyang and just 40
kilometers from Chengdu, a national central city, the zone is a key node in both the Chengdu–Chongqing Economic
Circle and the metropolitan area surrounding Chengdu. Covering 81.27 square kilometers, the zone administers two
subdistricts—Jingdong and Bajiaojing—and is home to a permanent population of more than 300,000.
Deyang ETDZ administers the Deyang International Railway Logistics
Port and two subdistricts, forming a north–south development
pattern of \"one zone and two parks.\" It is jointly developing an
international railway logistics port with Chengdu and working to
establish a national port of entry. International freight train services
have been operated, including Chengdu-Europe+, China–Europe, and
China–Central Asia services. The zone is home to more than 70 centrally
administered state-owned enterprises, companies on three major
Fortune 500 lists, and listed companies. In 2025, the gross industrial
output value of its industrial enterprises above designated size reached
RMB 112.54 billion, and the zone ranked 36th among China's nationallevel economic and technological development zones.

National strategies including the construction of the Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle, the high-quality
development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt, and the construction of a national strategic hinterland
have been accelerated to implement the Chengdu Metropolitan Circle into a major population and economic
agglomeration in the western region and a backup base for important industries.
The Chengdu-Deyang Bullet Trains are increasing and speeding up. More than 130 trains are running per
day and directly reach the destination in 23 minutes at their fastest speed. The Chengdu-Deyang Intercity
Bus is seamlessly connected with the Chengdu Metro, and 7 cross-regional bus routes are running steadily. The
Chengdu-Deyang Intercity Railway S11 is under accelerated construction.

Located in southeastern Deyang ETDZ, Deyang University Science Park has a planned area of approximately
8 square kilometers, including a core area of about 3 square kilometers and an innovation cluster of about
1 square kilometer. It is being developed as a new district for science and technology, talent, and urban
development, integrating R&D, pilot testing, incubation, industrialization, science and technology finance, and
high-quality residential and lifestyle amenities. The park allocates an annual dedicated budget of RMB 200
million to reduce innovation costs for enterprises through measures ranging from entrepreneurship incentives
and financing subsidies to a well-developed tolerance mechanism for innovation-related setbacks, helping
ensure that public and private investment produces tangible results.

Deyang ETDZ is one of China's three major power equipment manufacturing bases and home to the world's
most comprehensive and advanced R&D and manufacturing ecosystem for energy equipment. It is also one
of China's first 25 national advanced manufacturing clusters. The zone has ranked first worldwide in power
generation equipment output for many consecutive years.

In commercial spaceflight, Deyang ETDZ has already attracted a number of emerging aerospace industry
projects , including UBINEXUS. Looking ahead, it will focus on cutting-edge space and aerospace information
technologies, leveraging its strengths in precision manufacturing to attract flagship projects in commercial
rockets, satellite applications and space-based big data.

德阳经开区围绕具身智能关键部件、智能机器人等中后端制造环节，招引了国科赛安、昇视
唯盛等项目，未来将重点突破水利清洁机器人、焊接机器人、装配机器人等特种机器人核心
技术，加快打造整机企业牵引、整零协同互促、应用场景丰富的智能机器人产业集群。
In robotics, the zone is targeting the manufacturing of key components for embodied intelligence and intelligent
robots. Projects such as Guoke Saian and 3Srobotics are already taking shape. The zone will focus on developing core
technologies for specialized robots, including water-conservancy and cleaning robots, welding robots and assembly robots,
with the goal of building a complete intelligent robotics cluster driven by leading complete-machine manufacturers,
supported by coordinated upstream and downstream development and diverse application scenarios.

德阳经开区重点关注绿色能源、先进金属、高分子复合、无机非金属为主的前沿材料产业，

The zone is also focusing on advanced materials, particularly green energy materials, advanced metals, polymer composites and
inorganic non-metallic materials. It is exploring emerging fields such as additive manufacturing and intelligent processing, while

德阳经开区是四川省开放发展示范平台，获批国家级外贸转型升级基地、中德创新平
台、服务贸易特色基地等7个开放平台。德阳造产品遍布100余个国家和地区，与27个
“一带一路”沿线国家和地区实现贸易往来，2025年实现进出口总额55.7亿元稳居
全市首位。截止2026年2月，物流港开行中欧、中亚、西部陆海新通道等班列483列。
Deyang ETDZ is a leading platform for open development in Sichuan. It is home to seven national and
international platforms, including a National Foreign Trade Transformation and Upgrading Base, a China–
Germany Innovation Platform and a Specialized Base for Trade in Services. Products made in Deyang are
exported to more than 100 countries and regions, with trade links to 27 countries and regions along the Belt and
Road. In 2025, the zone recorded total imports and exports of RMB 5.57 billion, ranking first in Deyang.
As of February 2026, the logistics port had operated 483 freight trains on China–Europe, China–Central Asia
and New International Land–Sea Trade Corridor routes.
德阳经开区与中科院、中物院等全国30余家高校院所建立合作关系，拥有国省专家
75人，两院院士9人，国省级重点实验室、国省级企业技术中心、院士（专家）工
作站50余家；获省级以上科技奖励23项，攻克能源装备关键核心技术378项，达到
国际一流水平技术68项，填补国内空缺板块技术21项。
Deyang ETDZ has established partnerships with more than 30 universities and research institutes nationwide,
including the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the China Academy of Engineering Physics. It is home to 75
national- and provincial-level experts, nine academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the
Chinese Academy of Engineering, and more than 50 national- and provincial-level key laboratories, enterprise
technology centers, and academician (expert) workstations. The Zone has received 23 science and technology awards
at or above the provincial level, developed 378 key technologies for energy equipment, achieved international-leading
standards in 68 technologies, and filled 21 gaps in domestic technological capabilities.
