UTS student accommodation is called Yura
Mudang. It’s close to campus with food, shopping
and transport options at your doorstep. Living in
student accommodation means you’ll be living
with students from Australia and across the
world who can support you in your academic,
social and personal growth.
UTS Housing is self-catered, secure and
competitively priced. You can choose to live
in either a self-contained studio or a bedroom
within a shared apartment that has a shared
kitchen, bathrooms and living areas. All
bedrooms are for one person and are fully
furnished, which means you’ll just need to bring
bed linen and cooking equipment. Yura Mudang
also has spacious communal barbecue areas,
study rooms, games and computer rooms and
a music room. Rent includes electricity, water,
unlimited cabled internet in bedrooms and
wireless internet access in communal areas.

Renting private accommodation
Share accommodation means you usually
have your own room and share a kitchen, living
area and bathroom with other students or
people who work. Alternatively, you can rent
your own studio or one-bedroom apartment,
but this is more expensive. Our off-campus
accommodation website can help you
search for share rooms in private houses and
apartments around UTS: uts.studystays.com.au
It’s a good idea to arrange short-term
accommodation when you first arrive in Sydney.
That way, you can look for longer-term options
once you arrive and choose something that
suits you for the long-term. All accommodation

When you complete a UTS College Academic
English program, you’ll have guaranteed
entry* into most UTS degrees, without the
need to complete further IELTS, TOEFL,
Pearson (PTE) or other English tests.
Our English classes have an average of
16 students, so you’ll benefit from more
individual attention. Our students also gain
exclusive access to our specialist English
language resources, including online support
