5001 Series Lightweight Butterfly Valve
5001 series lightweight butterfly valve adopts the clamp-type mounting method (i.e. inserted in the
middle of the piping flange). This valve is small in size, light in weight, and large in caliber, making it an
economical regulator for medium pressure fluids or fluids containing floating materials.
Combined with fully electronic or air cylinder actuators are available as standard.

Installation and maintenance key points
1. This valve is installed in accordance with Figure 4 installation method;
2. When not in use for a long time, it must be placed in a dark place indoors;
3. Be sure to wait for the pipeline welding flange cooling before installation, do not install the valve welded
behind flange;
4. Before installation, make sure there is no welding slag and other debris in the pipeline;
5. When blowing the pipeline, use the same flange distance with the valve instead of the valve installed in the
pipeline, otherwise the blowing may damage the seal ring;
6. The flange sealing surface should be checked for burrs and unevenness to avoid damage to the valve sealing
surface;
7. Before tightening the bolts, turn the valve plate to make sure the plate will not touch the inside wall of the
flange or anything else;
8. For pipeline pressure test, the valve must be completely open, the valve shall not be used as a blind flange;
9. For manual valve, do not operate the original manual mechanism by attaching a wrench or pry bar to it;
10. Do not operate manually in automatic state, otherwise it will damage the equipment. It should revert to the
automatic state after the manual operation is completed.
