OVERVIEW OF TEST SYSTEM

The SGS vehicle wireless communication vehicle antenna

performance (OTA) test plan comprehensively adopts the most

widely accepted spherical near-field multi-probe test system in

the sector, which can verify various indicators such as the

vehicle 2/3/4/5G, positioning system GNSS (including GPS,

BDS, GALILEO, GLONASS), V2X, ultra-wideband UWB, and

covers a measurement range from 400mhz to 10ghz.

NECESSITY OF TESTING

Not only can it effectively improve driving safety: C-V2X

technology communicates with other vehicles and their

environments to achieve vehicle road collaboration. When

C-V2X technology is used, the radiation performance of the

in-vehicle communication system becomes one of the foundations

of driving safety, and also improves user experience: improves

the stability of Bluetooth/Wi-Fi connections, improves navigation

accuracy, accelerating map loading response speed, and other

in-vehicle entertainment applications based on wireless

communication technology have also been effectively improved.

WHAT IS CONFORMANCE CERTIFICATION?

Both GCF and PTCRB organizations are composed of

operators, manufacturers, and authorized laboratories. GCF is

a mandatory requirement for European operators; PTCRB is a

mandatory requirement of cellular telecommunications

industry association; that is to say, communication products

related to operators entering Europe and the United States

must have GCF and PTCRB certificates.

WHAT IS ECALL?

ECall is a system that provides automatic messages to

emergency services after a road collision, including precise

collision locations. In-vehicle eCall is an emergency call (E112

wireless call) that is manually generated by vehicle occupants

by pressing a button, or automatically generated by activating

vehicle sensors after a collision. After activation, the in-vehicle

eCall device will establish an emergency call to directly

transmit voice and data to the nearest emergency service

(usually the nearest 112 public safety response point, PSAP).

These systems aim to shorten the time between accidents

and the provision of medical services. Its purpose is to reduce

the consequences of injury and prevent death and disability.

WHAT IS FiRa CERTIFICATION?

The name FiRa, fine ranging, stands for \"precise ranging,\"

which highlights the unique ability of UWB technology to

provide unprecedented accuracy in measuring distance or

determining the relative position of targets. In challenging

environments, in particular, UWB technology outperforms

other technologies in terms of accuracy, power consumption,

robustness and security of RF connections. The FiRa alliance is

composed of several internationally renowned technology

enterprises, aiming to promote the seamless user experience

by using ultra wideband (UWB) technology, and to ensure the

establishment of an interoperable UWB ecosystem across

chipsets, devices and infrastructure services through the

development of standards and certification.
