Attention
1. Precautions for the height of the conveying surface
The height of the conveying surface described in the external dimensions drawing in this document refers to the height from the floor
to the conveying surface (upper surface of belt or chain). If the thickness of the belt or the outer diameter of the chain changes, the
dimensions will change accordingly, so please pay special attention to this.
2. Precautions for matters other than those listed in the belt type column
In the case of using a belt, the belt itself will be limited by its minimum bending radius. When you choose a conveyor, attention should
be paid to the selection of a suitable pulley diameter.
The load-bearing plates of GNKE's conveyors generally use stainless steel plates or sticky steel plates, which are not suitable for
belts with steel plate as the bearing plate, so please do not use them.
3. Precautions for the conveying direction
The conveying direction of the belt is specified. When the customer chooses to install the belt themselves, please pay attention to the
conveying direction.
The calculation formulas for the length of the belt and chain are recorded in the table below. Please inquire according to actual needs
when designing or maintaining.
• Sliding belts are generally suitable for occasions where workpieces are stranded on the conveyor.
• Anti-static belts are suitable for conveying the electronic parts, but only the surface of the belt is anti-static.
• Food-grade belts are suitable for unpackaged food, but only limited to dry food at room temperature. When they are used to convey wet or
hot food, special measures are required. Please ask and confirm with us first before placing an order.
• Oil-resistant belts are suitable for normal temperature conditions where oil is attached to the workpieces. When there is high heat or a large
amount of corrosive oil, please contact us in advance.
• Heat resistance range of high-temperature resistant belt is ‐40°C~180°C.

Installed on the under side of the conveyor
It saves space on both sides of the conveyor.
The belt does not need to interfere with the motor, and the height of the motor position can be changed.
The standard gap between the belt surface on the return side and the upper surface of the motor is 20, 50 and 80mm.
Installed on the upper side of the conveyor
The motor is installed on the upper side of the belt, so water and oil do not directly adhere to the motor.
The height of the motor position can be changed to avoid motor interfering with the workpiece.
The standard gap between the conveying surface of the conveyor and the lower surface of the motor is 20, 50 and 80mm.
Installed on the upper outer side of the conveyor
The motor is installed on the upper side of the belt, so water and oil do not directly adhere to the motor.
Since the motor is located outside, there is no need to consider the size of the workpiece or the belt.
Direct motor connection
The motor is directly connected to the drive roller for high precision conveyance.
Since the top and bottom do not protrude, the space on the top and bottom can be effectively used.
Since the motor is mounted on the side, it is difficult for water and oil to touch it directly.
Direct connection of orthogonal hollow motor
The orthogonal hollow motor is directly connected to the pulley.
The belt and the motor are installed in parallel, so the upper and lower space can be effectively used, and the left and right
space is also saved compared with the direct motor connection.

Installed in the middle of conveyor (middle drive type)
Even if the tension is adjusted, the overall length of the conveyor will not change, so it can be installed between non-movable
equipment.
In addition, the drive unit can also move within the effective range of the profile, so the conveyor becomes easier to service.
Installed on the inner side of the conveyor
The motor of the double-row type conveyor can be installed between profiles, so
the top, bottom, left and right space can be effectively used.
The drive chain can also be installed inside the safety cover.

When you want to improve the stopping accuracy
Motor with a brake
(Overdriving: 1-1.5 turns; holding force: None) The electronic brake based on current will not wear out like mechanical one, so it has a long lifespan. It is
most suitable for stepping action. Since there is no holding force, it can be used in combination with a motor with an electromagnetic brake when it is
necessary to hold a load.
Motor whose clutch has a brake (Overdriving: 1 turn; holding force: Yes) It is suitable for frequent start and stop occasions. When stopping, the clutch is disengaged and the brake is
applied. Therefore, unlike a motor with an electromagnetic brake, it is not affected by the inertia of the motor, and the time to stop can be shortened.
Motor with an electromagnetic
brake
(Overdriving: 2-3 rotations; holding force: Yes) It is suitable for the situation where the load needs to be held, such as driving the belt up or down. Since
equipped with an AC non-excitation electromagnetic brake, the motor stops instantaneously and holds the load when the power is cut off.
It is capable of handling harsh environments
Explosion-proof motor It is suitable for use in places where flammable and explosive gases may be generated.
It is a safety motor with high insulation performance against danger and damage caused by rising ambient temperature.
Dustproof and waterproof motor
It is suitable for use in environments with a lot of water flow or dust.
It has excellent dustproof and waterproof performance and complies with IEC IP66 standard. But it is not suitable for long-term immersion in water or use
under high-pressure water environment.
