此盘造型特殊，实为较扁的葵花形。其以一块红木厚板斫挖而成，木纹顺直， 兼以麦穗般棕眼，包浆莹润，质感不输黄花梨。 敞口，口沿上方略起素混面，侧沿凸出宽皮条线一周。其形为六瓣葵花式，只 是中间两瓣较长，使得造型较扁，又近银锭形，但每面皆凹进，是葵花形的显 著特征。弧形壁，亦随葵花口凸凹，形成丰富的曲面变化。平底。 葵花盘各处雕琢、打磨到位，转折处峰棱宛然，交接处柔和圆润，刚柔并济， 虽为文房用具，但呈现出雕塑般美感。
