异形托盘三件，两件为鸂鶒木质，另一为瘿木，皆整木掏挖而成。 其一作菱花式，鸂鶒木质，敞口，口沿起边线一周，口微撇，内外壁皆随菱花形波折，形成具韵 律变化的曲面，下为圈足。皮壳光洁，红色与褐色木纹相间，颇为艳丽。 其二作叶形，外侧雕为叶背，筋脉宛然，内侧边缘波折，凹为小盘，并以阴线刻画叶脉。亦为鸂 鶒木，为常见的赭黄色，纹路细腻璀璨，触感温和，置放案头，如一叶飘落，意蕴深远。 其三为随取一段瘿木制成，截平为口，掏挖为膛，盘壁波折，木纹扭结变化，洼隆不平，其上髹 厚漆，黑中泛红，因年代久远，发龙鳞断，甚耐观玩。

盖盒红木制成，色泽沉稳，包浆莹润。 其形作古代布币形，为平手平肩带孔直足式，略近“凸”字形，下方有足，中间有裆。其盖 为整板搜挖而成，铲地浮雕两个金文，中间以弦线为脊，上方有透孔，既与布币造型相符， 又是抠手处，方便取下盒盖。金文刻画细致，笔道匀称，有玉箸篆之意，意向高古。 盒身一木挖出，边缘高过盒盖，其与盒盖结合处起两层子口，得以严丝合缝。盒身亦设圆光 和立墙，将之隔为四格。 布币又名铲币，是从青铜农具演变而来，流通于春秋战国时期中原地区。此例以此形制成，是 清中晚期金石学兴起使然，应为金石大家放置印章等物所用。甚为少见，是难得的文房雅物。

书箱通体以瘿木制成，尺寸硕大，极为罕见。皮壳老辣，包浆莹润，纹路艳丽而色泽沉稳。 以独板用燕尾榫攒接为方正箱体，转角处有铜包角加固。对开两门，攒框平镶板心。门板、侧 山、顶、背的瘿木纹路皆美，变化万千，呈现出水波、山峦、火焰、鸟羽等状。箱上还附有白铜 饰件，即长方面叶、长方合页、瓜子形吊牌、方垫片、勾云形提手，明亮温润如玉，在深色木纹 映衬下清晰跳脱。 箱门内分为数格，色泽更加沉稳凝重，中间空格，可放置小型佛像，其下有较高抽替一具，可放 置供佛用的道具，上方两具抽替，两旁四具，皆深大可容物。横竖隔板看面混面压双边线，其中 横隔板上镶装透箱门而出的钮头，方便固定箱门或上锁。 历代所见书箱，软木者众，黄花梨等珍贵硬木者少见，通体以瘿木所制者，数年来所见不过可数 几例。瘿木本是木质病变，但因此产生的纹路变化丰富，诡奇难以描摹，故甚得文人青睐，视之 为文木之代表，备受推崇。以之制作的器物造型简练，突出纹路之美，是古人朴素自然观的体 现，蕴含着伟大而深博的哲学理念。

The elegant shape is very subtly enhanced with a thin incised bead on the inside of the rim, sharp indented corners and a crisp bead at the foot. However, the tour de force of this tray is the bril- liantly drawn magnolia at its centre. Carved in high relief with fluid contours and deep curvatures, this flower is a wonderful example of the carver’s art. The unusually high and focal carving on this tray would suggest that it was intended for ceremonial presenta- tion rather than everyday use. 206 207

以乌木雕刻为树干一段，凸凹起伏，具嶙峋之势，节疤宛然，雕刻、磨制 到位，达到了虽由人作宛如天开的高超境界。尺寸适宜，便于把玩，皮壳 光亮如漆，细密如玉，令人难以释手。 截平两端为面、底。面上开孔，其用途众说纷纭，有认为是搁置香铲、香 箸等香道具者，与炉瓶三事相配套，持此说者较多，确也从古画中得到佐 证。然亦有人认为是插花用的花插，则需另附内胆，也未可知。无论如 何，功用尚在其次，此例如同雕塑般的造型，已足以打动人心，更是难得 的文玩器具。 乌木在古代是与黄花梨、紫檀等同属珍贵硬木，多以之制作文玩器具或小 型雕刻摆件。

托盘两件，红木制成，大者皮壳深沉，小者浅淡，各具奇美。均一木挖 出，作委角长方形。 大者造型醇厚，口沿转折圆润，委角转折微妙，内外皆形成波折，颇 增变化。撇口，下腹微敛后圆转兜底，下方斫挖后余四角为曲尺形小 圭脚，小巧可爱。底部落膛，既增层次变化，又起到缓减应力，防止变 形、开裂等问题。小者造型较俊雅，委角亦较大，别具一格。底部落 膛，形成一周圈足。
