Products: two-seat sofa, lounge chair, coffee table

This design is inspired by a famous pastry from Southern Italy known as the Babà. These soft, round balls of sweetness are

known all over Italy and are a classic dessert. Like this pastry, the collection has a classic style but with modern touches.

Babà has soft, organic forms that create an inviting feeling and exude comfort. The two-seat sofa and one-seat chair can

nest vertically for shipping and storage, giving the product not only aesthetic value but great functionality too. A coffee table is

also available with the same soft forms and nesting function. Additionally, Ligalli tables can be paired beautifully with this

collection.

The impression of Piolo is that it was

crafted from simple, wooden dowels

or pegs. Its essential geometric design

brings to mind classic wood chairs

created by master artisans. In Italian,

Piolo means peg. Simple cylindrical

forms produce the legs of this product

and define the ends of the seat and

back. A perforated pattern composed

of large circles recalls the rounded

forms of the chair’s legs. Two versions

are available with or without arms.

Piolo is a one-piece design and both

versions are stackable.

Gaufrette is the French word for

waffle, a tasty, sweet treat that can

be enjoyed for breakfast, dessert or

snacking. The bent forms that

create the deconstructed backrest

are like the indentations of a waffle.

They are placed asymmetrically,

giving the product the feeling that it

is made by an artisan rather than

being a mass-produced item, not

unlike handmade desserts.

The design recalls metal forming

processes used for the classic,

outdoor public furniture used in the

famous parks of Paris, another

reason for the French name. The

spaces in the backrest give the user

some ventilation as well as providing visual interest and a unique,

eye-catching aesthetic. One unique

feature of the furniture is the cantilevered armrest. Its design allows for

almost infinite stacking while also

being an eye-catching element. A

side table and coffee table complete

the collection and all products in the

Gaufrette collection can be stacked.

We’ve all experienced the joy of receiving candy wrapped in

colourful packaging and then untwisting the bows to enjoy a

treat. This chair is inspired by the packaging of candy, in

particular the twisted ends that form beautiful bows. Bonbon is

French for candy. The chair’s design is built from a flowing

ribbon that begins at the seat and twists into the backrest. Its

unique form brings delight to the eye as candy does to our

taste buds. Bonbon is a one-piece structure and is stackable.

There is nothing more warming and loving than a cuddle. The inviting round forms of this collection create

a soothing and serene feeling. Coccolare is the Italian verb not only for cuddling but also for caresses and

other loving gestures. In this product, big, warm hugging arms invite the user to a zone of comfort and

tranquility. Coccola’s oversized dimensions represent “fat beauty” that creates a voluptuous and

comfortable atmosphere. Its design also has a dynamic and light aspect, The curving arms and legs

visually “play” with each other. Many of the elements are elevated to reduce visual weight. Coccola is

available as a two seater sofa or lounge chair. A tea table and side table in the same cuddly theme are also offered.

mermaids in Homer’s Odyssey. Ligea lived on a small

island off the coast of Southern Italy in the Mediterranean Sea

tempting sailors to her rocky sores . But in

our design, she is a kind creature inviting you to enjoy yourself

on the beach or by the pool. Her arching

curves are not only beautiful but comfortable. They are simple

statements inspired the waves that kiss her

island home. Ligea is an elegant solution for any environment.

This one-piece design can also stack

vertically.

A strong statement like the paw of the Tiger. Zampa is the Italian word for “paw”. This product series is

defined by Its legs that flare out at the floor. It is a unique aesthetic feature that creates a very pretty chair,

but its beauty has a functional origin. It allows the chair can stack vertically, one product cupping over the

other. Usually, this type of single skin stacking product seen in every garden or street food vender’s patio

has “concave” legs. However, this solution is overused and looks cheap. With Zampa, the desire was to

create a vertical stacking chair with a full-bodied aesthetic. Fuyan has produced a rich looking yet original

product that will beautify any indoor or outdoor setting. The Zampa collection offers a wide range of

products that includes dining chair, barstool, side table, café table and bar table.

The circle is one of the purest, simplest geometric forms and over centuries has been used to create harmony and grace in architecture and design. Compasso’ s

circular back is a unique, eye-catching statement that will animate any room’ s interior design. The front edge of the seat is also defined by an arc that visually connect

to the back. This element also stiffens the one-piece shell and creates an area for the legs to be connected.

The wood legs connect directly to slots moulded in the plastic shell. The slots also provide rigidity. Connecting bolts are hidden by small covers that are moulded in the

same colour as the seat. The chair is shipped with the legs not assembled. The wood and plastic are a nice mix of modern and classical materials. In fact, the whole

theme of this piece is that of connecting ancient to modern aesthetics. The back’ s form recalls the circular motif present in some ancient Chinese throne chairs. The

wood legs are angled to ease stacking and are like the two arms of a drawing compass, the instrument used to create perfectly round circles. Compasso is the Italian

word for compass.

chair is one of a friend putting his/her arm around you. It is a symbol of comfort, peace and love. It is a reminder that tomorrow will be a better day. The backrest that curves

and wraps around one side of the user is that friend, that pal’ s arm comforting you. The Pal chair is a new, bold aesthetic with its asymmetrical design and free flowing forms.

But there is more to it than just beauty. Its geometry allows the person to sit in different ways, forward or sideways. Also, the chair is stackable for easy storage and shipping.

Monobloc design ensures the chair’s strength and durability. The Pal chair exemplifies Fuyan’s vision of bringing innovative and daring furniture products to market.

The Slide chair and barstool represent a new approach of constructing furniture. This knockdown collection is composed of multiple, smaller components that greatly reduce the

size of the shipping carton.

Sliding on a playground slide is a continuous, fluid movement. The design is dominated by the three wide slats that run from top to front creating the impression of one non-stop

movement. Though the pieces are all separate, when put together they make a whole. The metal frame is also made in two pieces. Everything is bolted together through the

seat.

Two small covers are used to hide the seat fasteners but that is not their only function. Because they are separate pieces, they can be specified in an accent colour giving the

chair a unique dual tone style. The second colour also further emphasizes the “flow” of the slide.

The backrest has open spaces that help drain water making the chair usable outdoors. Also, they provide a place to grip the furniture so it can be moved and stacked easily.

Slide is a fun word. The chair’s overall form is quite simple and classic but the three slats visually organize the design into something new and unusual.
