Thiscontactlessandabsoluteposition measuring system is pressure-tight up to 500 bar.lts functionprinciple is based on the magnetrostictive effect.In connection with this,a torsion impulse is triggered off when twomagnetic fields meet.This impulseis directed from the point of measurement via thewaveguideinsidethemeasuring scale tothesensorhead.Thetransittimeis constantandvirtuallyindependentof temperature. It is proportional to the position ofthesolenoidandcanthereforebeused as a reference for the actual positionvalue andisconvertedintoadirectanalogor dligital output in the sensor head.
