Jean Nouvel (*1945) gehört zu den einflussreichsten Architekten
und Designern der Gegenwart. Mit seinen Bauten hat er weltweit
Architekturgeschichte geschrieben.
Auf einen Schlag berühmt wurde er 1987 mit seinem Entwurf für
das „Institut du monde arabe” in Paris, einem Gebäude, das durch
seine Gestaltung eine kulturelle Brücke zwischen Frankreich und
der arabischen Welt schlägt. Neben vielen anderen Auszeichnungen
erhielt er 2008 den Pritzker-Preis, der als Nobelpreis für Architekten
gilt.
Doch Jean Nouvel entwirft nicht nur Bauten. Aus seiner Werkstatt in Paris stammen auch Möbel und Gebrauchsgegenstände –
ein Türgriff, ein Lautsprecher, ein paar Sneakers. Und ein Stuhl
für VS: JUMPER.
Jean Nouvel (*1945) is one of the most influential architects and
designers of the present day. His constructions have changed the
face of architecture worldwide.
His fame was achieved almost overnight in 1987 with the „Institut du monde arabe” in Paris, a building whose design creates a
cultural bridge between France and the Arab world. Among many
other awards, he won the Pritzker Prize and the Nobel Prize for
architecture in 2008.
Born to a family of teachers, Nouvel not only designs buildings.
His workshop in Paris also creates furniture and a variety of everyday objects, from door handles to loudspeakers and sneakers –
and now even a chair for VS: JUMPER.

JUMPER ist der erste Schulstuhl, der mit dem „Cradle to Cradle
Certified“–Zertifikat in Silber ausgezeichnet wurde.
Dahinter steht die Idee einer abfallfreien Wirtschaft, die komplett
in Kreisläufen denkt. Alle eingesetzten Materialien sind Teil eines
natürlichen oder eines geschlossenen technischen Kreislaufs. So
entsteht im Idealfall überhaupt kein Abfall, denn alle Materialien
werden wieder- bzw. weiterverwendet oder lassen sich ohne
schädliche Rückstände entsorgen.
„Cradle to Cradle Certified“ belegt, dass für die Herstellung des
geprüften Produktes ausschließlich Materialien verwendet werden, die unschädlich für Mensch und Umwelt sind, dass die eingesetzten Rohstoffe wiederverwertet werden und dass bei der
Produktion auf den sorgfältigen Einsatz von Energie und Wasser
sowie auf soziale Verantwortung geachtet wird.
JUMPER is the first school chair to be awarded the prestigious
\"Cradle To Cradle\" certification in silver.
„Cradle to Cradle“ is underpinned by the idea of a waste-free
economy, thinking exclusively in terms of production cycles. All
the employed materials are part of a natural or closed technical
cycle. Ideally, there should be no waste at all because all materials are reused or recycled - or can be composted without any
harmful residue. The name “Cradle to Cradle” represents this process.
„Cradle to Cradle Certified“ proves that the tested product is
manufactured exclusively using materials that are harmless to
people and the environment. The employed raw materials can be
recycled, with carefully controlled use of energy and water during production - ensuring the manufacturer adheres to the principles of social responsibility.

Kennzeichen des JUMPER Air ist die doppelwandige LuftpolsterSitzschale aus recycelbarem Polypropylen. Sie ist besonders ergonomisch geformt und unterstützt eine natürliche Haltung der
Wirbelsäule. Durch den angenehmen Luftpolstereffekt bleibt das
Sitzen auf JUMPER Air auch über längere Zeit sehr bequem. Die
mikrofeine Lochung der Sitzfläche sorgt zudem für permanenten
Temperaturausgleich und damit für ein angenehmes Sitzklima.
Durch ihre feine Noppenstruktur bietet die Sitzschale einen guten
Grip. Gleichzeitig gerät die Oberfläche bei Lichteinfall optisch in
Bewegung, die Strukturierung lässt sie farblich interessant changieren.
Um die Bequemlichkeit der Luftpolsterschale noch zu steigern, gibt
es einige Modelle des JUMPER Air für Lehrkräfte und Dozenten
auch mit Polsterauflage.
JUMPER Air is characterized by its dual-walled, air-cushioned
seat shell manufactured from recyclable polypropylene. Not only
does this feature a particularly ergonomic design that supports
the spine’s natural posture, but thanks to the pleasant air-cushioning effect, users can sit on the JUMPER Air even for long
periods. The microfine perforations in the seating surface also
ensure a continuous uniform temperature, thus making it even
more comfortable to sit on.
The finely napped structure gives the seat shell a sturdy grip. At
the same time, the surface has its own visual dynamic, depending on the room's lighting, the colour hues of the structure undergo interesting changes.
In addition to the comfort of the air-cushioned shell, there are a
number of cushioned JUMPER Air models for teachers and other
educational staff.

Die vorwärts federnden Freischwingerstühle JUMPER Air Active eignen sich besonders für den Einsatz in der Schule. In der Arbeitshaltung am Tisch neigt sich die
Sitzfläche nach vorn. Dadurch öffnet sich der Hüftwinkel, die Wirbelsäule richtet
sich auf. In der zurückgelehnten Haltung orientiert sich die Schale nach hinten, der
Rücken kann aktiv entspannen. So wird dynamisches und ergonomisches Sitzen
gefördert. Der JUMPER Air Active lässt sich einfach aufstuhlen. Für unterschiedliche
Böden gibt es jeweils eigene Stuhlgleiter.
JUMPER Air Active ist in Schulstuhlgrößen 2–7 (nach DIN EN 1729) mit entsprechenden Sitzschalen sowie mit einer größeren Comfort-Sitzschale erhältlich.
Für Lehrende und Dozenten steht zudem ein Modell mit Sitzpolster zur Verfügung.
The forward sprung cantilevered JUMPER Air Active chairs are particularly suitable
for school use. When the user is sat in the working position at a table, the seat surface tilts forwards. This opens the angle of the hips so that the spine moves into
the correct posture. When the user leans backwards, the shell also tilts and the
back can actively relax. This promotes dynamic and ergonomic sitting. The chair
can easily be stored on a table top. There are different chair glide elements for different floors.
JUMPER Air Active is available in the school chair sizes 2–7 (as specified in DIN
EN 1729) with the corresponding seat shells, as well as with a large, extra-comfort seat shell. A model with seat upholstery is also available for teachers and
other educational staff.

A classic four-legged chair such as JUMPER Air Four is perfect in many different
settings: it is very stable, strong and tough. At the same time, it guarantees extremely comfortable sitting even in the smallest seat sizes for day nurseries and primary schools. The chair is suitable for shared spaces such as the canteen or main
hall but is also suitable in classrooms and workrooms, where it can be used by
students of all groups as well as by teachers. Matching chair glide elements for
different types of flooring are also available.
JUMPER Air Four is available in the school chair sizes 2–7 (as specified in DIN EN
1729) with the corresponding seat shells. A model with seat upholstery is also

JUMPER Air Level wurde für jahrgangsübergreifendes Lernen entwickelt. In diesen
Gruppen arbeiten Schülerinnen und Schüler unterschiedlicher Größe an einer gemeinsamen Tischhöhe zusammen – und müssen dabei trotzdem ergonomisch gut
sitzen können. Möglich macht das der JUMPER Air Level. Darauf sitzen Kinder erhöht, passend zur Tischhöhe. Die Fußstütze gewährleistet, dass Knie- und Hüftwinkel im Sitzen die optimale Position erreichen. Die Fußstütze ist zudem verstellbar. So deckt ein Stuhlmodell bis zu zwei verschiedene Normsitzgrößen ab, und es
müssen weniger unterschiedliche Stuhlmodelle im Raum vorgehalten werden.
JUMPER Air Level gibt es in zwei Modellen für Tischhöhe 71 cm (Größenklasse 2–3
und Größenklasse 4) sowie in zwei Modellen für Tischhöhe 76 cm (Größenklasse
2–3 und 4–5). Für Lehrer oder große Schüler ist der Stuhl auch ohne Fußstütze in
der Größenklasse 6 erhältlich.
JUMPER Air Level was developed for mixed age learning. In these groups, students
of different sizes work together at a shared table – and still have to be able to sit
at it ergonomically and healthily. This is possible thanks to the JUMPER Air Level.
Children sit raised up so that they are positioned at the right height for the table.
The foot support ensures that the knees and hips are positioned at the optimum angle during sitting. The foot support can also be adjusted. As a result, a single chair
model covers up to two different standard seating sizes and it is not necessary to
keep too many different chair models available in the room.
JUMPER Air Level is available in two models for table height 71 cm (size classes
2–3 and size class 4) as well as in two models for table height 76 cm (size classes
2–3 and 4–5). The chair is now also available without foot support in size class 6
for teachers or tall students.

JUMPER Air Move ist ein Drehstuhl mit stufenloser Gasfederhöhenverstellung und
patentierter 3D-Wippmechanik für dynamisches Sitzen. Auf diese Weise bleibt der
Körper kontinuierlich aktiv, ein ergonomischer Wechsel zwischen verschiedenen
Sitzhaltungen wird unterstützt.
Der Drehstuhl JUMPER Air Move ist in den Höhenverstellbereichen 3–5 sowie 5–7
(nach DIN EN 1729) erhältlich, mit darauf abgestimmter Sitzschale M bzw. L. Bei
entsprechend ausgerüsteten Tischen kann der Stuhl unter der Tischplatte eingehängt
werden. Er lässt sich aber auch aufstuhlen und an einem Haken unter der Sitzfläche
direkt an die Tischplatte hängen. Modell 33502 und 33506 optional mit höhenverstellbarer Fußstütze. Alternativ gibt es Rollen für Hart- oder Weichböden, zudem
stehen verschiedene Gleiter zur Verfügung.
JUMPER Air Move is a swivel chair with continuous gas-spring height adjustment
and patented 3D rocker mechanism for dynamic sitting. In this way, the body remains continuously active and an ergonomic change between different seating
postures is encouraged.
The JUMPER Air Move swivel chair is available in the height adjustment range 3–5
and 5–7 (as specified in DIN EN 1729) with matching M or L seat shell. If the
tables are equipped accordingly, the chairs can be suspended below the table top.
However, the chairs can also be stowed on top of the table and suspended directly
on a hook at the table top. Model 33502 and 33506 are optionally available with
height-adjustable footrests. Alternatively, there are castors for hard or soft floors,
and various glides are also available.

Das Modell JUMPER Air Move HS bietet einen erweiterten Höhenverstellbereich für

The JUMPER Air Move HS model offers an extended height adjustment range for

JUMPER Air Move (Kita) wurde speziell auf die Bedürfnisse von Erziehenden in
Kitas oder Lehrenden in Grundschulen abgestimmt. Dieser Drehstuhl ist über einen
besonders großen Bereich stufenlos höhenverstellbar, von Erwachsenen-Sitzhöhe
bis hinunter zum Sitzniveau von Kindern. Damit eignet er sich bestens für tiefes,
aber dennoch erwachsenengerechtes Sitzen und Kommunizieren auf Kinder-Augenhöhe.
Optional lässt sich der Stuhl auch mit patentierter 3D-Wippmechanik für dynamisches Sitzen ausrüsten. Dabei neigt sich die Sitzfläche behutsam bei Belastungswechseln und unterstützt so ergonomisch den Wechsel zwischen verschiedenen

JUMPER Air Move (Kita) was specially designed to meet the needs of teaching
staff in nursery and primary schools. This swivel chair has a particularly large
continuous height-adjustment range, from adult seating height right down to
children's seating level. It is therefore ideal for low-level seating and teacher-child
communication at eye level, while remaining comfortable for adult use.
The chair can optionally also be equipped with a patented 3D rocker mechanism
for active sitting. This allows the seating surface to move gently as the load on it
shifts, thereby providing ergonomic support for changes between different seating

Schultische mit Stuhlaufhängungen bieten ein entscheidendes Plus: Tischflächen
und Boden in den Klassenräumen lassen sich wesentlich leichter reinigen. Die
Modelle JUMPER Air Move können mit den unter der Tischplatte integrierten
Schienen ganz einfach eingehängt werden. Dazu gibt es Universal-Aufhängeschienen
für zwei Größenbereiche des Stuhls. Für JUMPER Air Active und JUMPER Air Move
steht alternativ auch ein Aufhängegitter zur Auswahl, das für unterschiedliche
Größenklassen einsetzbar ist.
Beide JUMPER-Modelle lassen sich aber auch ganz einfach aufstuhlen, wenn es
keine integrierte Aufhängevorrichtung am Tisch gibt. Die Stühle sind durch
Schutzvorrichtungen so vorgerüstet, dass die Tischplatte durch die Aufstuhlung
nicht strapaziert wird.
School tables with chair suspensions offer real benefits: it is much easier to clean
table surfaces and classroom floors. The JUMPER Air Move models are very easy
to suspend using the rails integrated under the table top. There are also universal
suspension rails for two chair size ranges. Alternatively, JUMPER Air Active and
JUMPER Air Move can be supplied with a suspension grille that can be used for
different size classes.
However, if the table does not have an integrated suspension mechanism, both of
these JUMPER models can also be easily stowed on a table top. The chairs are preequipped with protective mechanisms so that the table top is not damaged when
the chairs are stowed on it.

The ergonomically shaped seat shell of the JUMPER Ply is
manufactured from stained, moulded beechwood. This natural
material produces a warm appearance and the surface is pleasant to the touch. The seating surface is coated with non-slip
paint so that users can sit securely whatever their position. This
in no way affects the look and material qualities of the wood.
The seat shell is concealed and fixed in the tubular steel frame
to ensure that there is no impairment of seating comfort. The
characteristic grip hole in the JUMPER Ply makes the chair easy
to handle.
In addition to the comfort of the moulded seat shell, users can
also choose JUMPER Ply with cushioning in the seat shell sizes
L and XL for teachers and other educational staff (seat cushion
or taut all-round upholstery).

A reinterpretation of the cantilever principle: JUMPER Ply Active is forwardsprung. This stimulates ergonomic activity and encourages users to continuously
change their seating posture. If the upper body leans forwards then the seating
surface follows suit. This opens the angle of the hips so that the spine moves into
the correct posture. If the user leans back then the seat shell also tilts backwards.
The result is a dynamic, versatile sitting posture.
The chair is easy to store on a table. There are matching chair glide elements for
different floors.

Die wichtigste Voraussetzung für jahrgangsübergreifendes Lernen: Schülerinnen
und Schüler unterschiedlicher Größe finden an einer gemeinsamen Tischhöhe
zusammen – und müssen dabei trotzdem ergonomisch gut sitzen können. Möglich
macht das der JUMPER Ply Level. Darauf sitzen Kinder erhöht, passend zur Tischhöhe. Die Fußstütze gewährleistet, dass Knie- und Hüftwinkel im Sitzen die optimale Position erreichen. Die Fußstütze ist zudem verstellbar. So deckt ein Stuhlmodell bis zu zwei verschiedene Normsitzgrößen ab, und es müssen weniger unterschiedliche Stuhlmodelle im Raum vorgehalten werden.
JUMPER Ply Level gibt es in zwei Modellen für Tischhöhe 71 cm (Größenklasse 2–3
und Größenklasse 4) sowie in zwei Modellen für Tischhöhe 76 cm (Größenklasse
2–3 und 4–5). Für Lehrer oder große Schüler ist der Stuhl auch ohne Fußstütze in
der Größenklasse 6 erhältlich.
The most important prerequisite for mixed age learning: Students of different

ergonomically and healthily. This is possible thanks to the JUMPER Ply Level.
Children sit raised up on this so that they are at the right height for the table.
The foot support ensures that the knees and hips are positioned at the optimum
angle during sitting. The foot support can also be adjusted. As a result, a single
chair model covers up to two different standard seating sizes and it is not necessary to keep too many different chair models available in the room.
JUMPER Ply Level is available in two models for table height 71 cm (size classes
2–3 and size class 4) as well as in two models for table height 76 cm (size classes
2–3 and 4–5). JUMPER Ply Level is also available as a teacher’s chair to match the
students’ chairs, but in this case without foot support (size class 6).

Der Drehstuhl JUMPER Ply Move ist stufenlos höhenverstellbar, bequem mit Gasfederhöhenverstellung. Seine Sitzschale mit patentierter 3D-Wippmechanik unterstützt dynamisches Sitzen und fördert einen ergonomischen Wechsel zwischen
verschiedenen Sitzhaltungen.
JUMPER Ply Move ist in den Höhenverstellbereichen 3–5 und 5–7 (nach DIN EN
1729) erhältlich, mit darauf abgestimmter Sitzschale M bzw. L. Bei entsprechend
ausgerüsteten Tischen kann der Stuhl unter der Tischplatte eingehängt werden. Er
lässt sich aber auch aufstuhlen und an einem Haken unter der Sitzfläche direkt an
die Tischplatte hängen. Modell 33552 und 33556 optional mit höhenverstellbarer
Fußstütze. Alternativ gibt es Rollen für Hart- oder Weichböden, zudem stehen verschiedene Gleiter zur Verfügung.
The JUMPER Ply Move swivel chair is comfortable and continuously height-adjustable thanks to its gas-spring height adjustment mechanism. Its seat shell with
patented 3D rocker mechanism supports active sitting and ergonomic change between different seating postures.
JUMPER Ply Move is available in the height adjustment ranges 3–5 and 5–7 (as
specified in DIN EN 1729) with the matching M or L seat shell. If the tables are
equipped accordingly, the chairs can be suspended directly below the table top.
However, the chairs can also be stowed on the table and suspended directly on a
hook at the table top. Model 33552 and 33556 optionally with height-adjustable
footrest. Alternatively, there are castors for hard or soft floors, and various glides
are also available.

Das Modell JUMPER Ply Move HS bietet einen erweiterten Höhenverstellbereich für
das Sitzen an 71 cm hohen Tischen. Damit eignet sich der Stuhl für den jahrgangsübergreifenden Unterricht.
Ein verstellbarer Fußring macht das erhöhte Sitzen für unterschiedlich große Schüler
möglich. Die Gasfederhöhenverstellung lässt sich einfach und sicher bedienen. Die
Rollen arretieren unter Belastung, sodass der Stuhl nicht unkontrolliert wegrollen
kann, wenn jemand darauf sitzt. Optional lässt sich der Stuhl auch mit patentierter
3D-Wippmechanik für dynamisches, ergonomisches Sitzen ausstatten.
The JUMPER Ply Move HS model offers an extended height adjustment range for
sitting at 71 cm high tables. This makes the chair suitable for mixed age classes.
An adjustable foot ring makes sitting at height possible for students of different
sizes. The gas-spring height adjustment is easy and safe to use. The castors are
locked when subjected to a load so that the chair cannot roll away accidentally
when someone sits on it. The chair can optionally also be equipped with a patented 3D rocker mechanism for active, ergonomic sitting.
