SynergEX panelboards for hazardous rated areas

One of the biggest challenges with enclosures located in hazardous areas is accessibility. To access internal components for preventative maintenance or troubleshooting. up to 70 bolts have to be loosened and then retightened, leading to extended periods of downtime and safety risks due to improperly torqued or missing bolts.

The SynergEX panelboard by Eaton's Crouse-Hinds Division utilizes individually encapsulated circuit breakers to reduce downtime, increase safety and lower maintenance costs in hazardous locations.

Application

Provide overcurrent and short circuit protection for low voltage power, lighting and heat tracing applications in hazardous locations, such as refineries, chemical and petrochemical plants, mining, food processing, corrosive and industrial processing facilities.

EZFlex" bus bar

The EZFlexTM bus bar provides maintenance-free design and allows breaker interchangeability. The bus does not have any threaded fasteners that would require any periodic maintenance. The branch breaker conductors are exothermically welded to provide a permanent molecular bond that will not loosen or corrode and have a currentcarrying capacity equal to or higher than that of the conductor. These connections can withstand repeated fault currents and are designed to maintain integrity for the life of the installation.

In addition to the known bus bar and connection boxes, a wide variety of new built-in components, such as switches, indicating devices, actuators and contact blocks, allow a multitude of combinations for customised complex controls. Threaded Ex-d holes in accordance with your specifications are drilled into the enclosure covers in our works.

The desired components are simply crewed into those drillings Each part can be easily exchanged due to the modular layout of the actuators and contact blocks: Simply by opening the bayonet coupling between the actuator and the contact block. The contact blocks provide all combinations of N/O and N/C from 1 pole up to 4 poles.

Durable LED indicator lamps ensure safe operation on a lasting basis. Actuating elements for various MCBs resp. RCDs and mushroomhead pushbuttons, key-operated switches or photocell inserts complete the product range.
