ERTMS/ETCS LEVEL 1 Solution
System Introduction
ETCS Level 1 is a intermittent transmission based train control system with an underlying signalling system. movement authority is
generated trackside and transmitted to the train via balises, a continuous speed supervision system is provided on board, which also
protects against exceeding the authority. HollySys has developed it according to international railway standards and has obtained
Baseline-3 (B3R2) TSI certification for both trackside (LEU and balise) and on-board signalling equipment. The ERTMS/ETCS Level 1
solution offered by HollySys includes a centralised traffic control system, an intelligent maintenance system and an ETCS Level 1 system.
It can be equipped with distributed computer-based interlocking or solid static interlocking systems. Through wireless communication, the
system achieves remote control of trackside equipment and intelligent maintenance of signalling equipment.

so as to eliminate the influence of train control caused by line changes and vehicle
performance differences, and enhance the robustness and stability of ATO controller.
Energy Saving
While meeting the operation target, the system optimizes the dwell time and trip time
of trains at various stations and block sections, so as to achieve the macro-levelenergy
efficiency.
It also saves energy for each single train through the automatic control algorithm of train
speed when the traction voltage collection is added as the basis for calculating the target
speed.
