一、题型分解

语法填空是近年来高职高考英语科目新推出的一种题型。这种题型能全面检测学生在英

语词汇、语法,甚至是句法上的运用能力,能更科学地反映学生的英语综合水平。

它将语法知识的考查置于一篇英语短文中,本题型分两种情况:一种为已给单词提示,

一种为不给单词提示。要求考生按照句子结构的语法性和上下文连贯的要求,在空白处填入

一个适当的词或使用括号中词语的正确形式填空,主要考查学生在篇章层面对语法和语言运

用知识的掌握情况。此题虽然只有 15 分,占英语全卷分数的十分之一,但也是英语考卷的重

要组成部分,不容忽视。要想此题有好的发挥,学好语法,注重运用必不可少,这是基础;

了解考点,掌握解题技巧才是确保得分的关键。

二、命题原则和特点

(一)语法填空题命题原则

1.短文题材:题材多样,或体现文化内涵、文化交流,或给人以启迪等。

2.短文长度:约 150 词,一般不超过 12 句话,设 10 个空,句首不设空。

3.短文难度:没有超出高职词汇的生词,但有高职单词的派生词,此题考查考生在特定

语境中语法的分析和运用能力。

4.考点设置:只能填一个词的纯空格题:设 3—4 个小题;用所给的词填空的题:设 6—7

小题。纯空格题通常考冠词、介词、代词和连词等词;给词填空题通常考谓语动词的时态和

语态、非谓语动词、形容词和副词的比较级和最高级、词类转换等,要求在空白处填入一个

适当的单词。

(二)语法填空题大致有如下特点

1.给出动词基本形态,填写词性词形转换(转化为名词、形容词),或填写谓语部分,可

能需要填写两个或三个词(从考试大纲和样卷上一般这种可能性比较小),或是填写非谓语动

词。

2.给出形容词,需要填写比较级、最高级,或词性词形转换,转化为副词,或是填写反

义词(前缀)。

3.给出副词,填写比较级、最高级,或是填写反义词;

4.有提示词:考查谓语动词、非谓语动词、名词、形容词和副词;无提示词:考查连词、

代词、介词、冠词和副词。

三、考点分析及解题技巧

语法填空题主要考查的是语法和上下文的连贯性,而语法是重点。语法填空要求根据上

下文填入动词(verb)、名词(noun)、代词(pronoun)、冠词(article)、介词(prep.)、情态动词(modal

verb)、连词(conj.)或引导词、形容词(adj.)和副词(adv.)等词或其适当形式。它主要考查的内容

为高职高考英语大纲要求的基本语法知识、词汇、习语和较为简单的英语表达方式的掌握情

况。

语法填空题型分两种情况:一种为已给单词提示,另一种为不给单词提示。下面就这两

种情况进行分析、研究,总结出四条语法填空的解题技巧。

(一)已给单词提示题型的技巧

此类题可以考查学生对单词形式变化的掌握程度。单词形式变化主要有两种:一是词的

形、数、式的变化;二是词的派生变化。在判断出词的变化之后还应该进一步审题,看是否

需要使用复合的变化形式,这一点是很重要的。

技巧 1:名词形式变化

名词的形式变化主要有单数、复数、所有格的变化。

【例 1】 There are many students living at school,the ________(child) houses are all far

from school.

【解析】 根据 students 一词可以判断出空格处应填复数,且作为 houses 的定语,所以

应用其所有格形式,故答案为 child 的复合变化形式——复数的所有格 children's。

技巧 2:动词形式变化

动词的形式变化比较多,有谓语的变化(时态、语态、语气),有非谓语的变化(不定式、

动名词、现在分词、过去分词)。其中不定式有:to do/to be done/to be doing/to have done 几

种形式。

【例 2】 A talk ________(give) tomorrow is written by Professor Zhang.

【解析】 句中的 is 是整句的谓语,所以空格所在的动词应当用非谓语形式。根据

tomorrow 可以看出,作报告是“将来”的事,故用不定式;且报告是 give 动作的承受者,故

可以判断出空格所在处用 give 的不定式的被动式——to be given。

技巧 3:有时给出的动词既不是谓语形式也不是非谓语形式,这时需要进行词类转换(可

变成名词或形容词)

【例 3】 But Jane knew from past experience that her ________(choose) of ties hardly ever

pleased her father.

【解析】 提示词 choose 是动词,但在宾语从句中作主语,且在形容词性物主代词后,

故用名词 choice。

(二)未给单词提示题型的技巧

此类题难度较大,但也是有方法对付的。

技巧 4:固定短语结构

根据句中空格前后及整句来判断空格前后是否构成一个固定短语,但有时要对空格前或

后的几个单词“视而不见”才能命中答案。

【例 4】 The children were playing on the ground,enjoying ________,dirty but happy.

【解析】 根据句中的 happy 可以猜出孩子们是开心的,所以应用 enjoy oneself 短语,

因 enjoying 的逻辑主语为 children,故填 themselves。

【例 5】 She works very hard ________as to find a well-paid job.

【解析】 如果“跳过”空格,就可以发现这里用到一个关联短语“so as to”,所以填 so。

四、解题步骤

解答语法填空题可分为三步:

第一步:通读全文。掌握文章大意,把握全文的主时态,注意上下文的逻辑关系。

第二步:逐题解答,初定答案。仔细分析句子,找出考查的语法点;根据空格在句中的

语法功能明确考查内容;可适当跳做,先易后难。

第三步:代入答案,复查修改。确定每个空格处的答案之后,再快速通读一遍全文,核

实语义是否通畅,是否符合语法知识和逻辑关系。如果发现有不妥之处,则应根据短文背景、

上下文的语境,结合空格后给出的词语提示,反复推敲,再次确定答案。

例题解析

二、写作要求

1.审题要准确:要想正确有效地传递信息,审好题目是至关重要的一步。考生在动笔前

必须认真审题,弄清试题的提示和要求,抓住关键信息,确定文章的框架、基本时态和格式。

做题前可以先列提纲,把段落主旨句写出来。

2.要点要清晰:根据题目要求,既要避免丢三落四,又要防止画蛇添足的现象,还要理

清主次,把握要点,详略得当。要做到简洁又切中要点最好的办法就是动手写作前根据写作

内容提示把要点列出来,以保证写作要点万无一失。

3.表达要地道流畅:要注意书面表达的连贯性,通过使用一些关联词或过渡句,使文章

4.检查修改要细心:文章写好后,要仔细检查,看要点是否齐全,内容是否清晰,标点

三、方法指导

应用文是人们生活、学习、工作和公务活动中经常使用的具有某些惯用格式的一种文体。

应用文用途广泛,种类繁多。其中包括书信(或电子邮件)、日记、通知、便条、收条、

借条、寻物启事、招领启事、电话留言、海报、贺卡等。

应用文的语言重在实用,力求朴实、准确、简洁。由于应用文使用广泛,在实际运用中

形成了各种各样的格式。现在就其格式及写法介绍如下,供参考。

Ⅰ.通知 Notice

通知一般用于上级对下级\\组织对成员布置工作\\传达事情及召集会议等。通知就其形式

而言,可分为书面通知和口头通知两种形式。对通知的考查侧重于对通知格式及通知正文时

态的应用等方面。写好一份通知,需要掌握下面三点:

(一)通知的形式

通知有多种分类。从形式上可分为书面通知(written notice)和口头通知(an nouncement)。

书面通知强调语句简练,用词贴切,用语书面化;而口头通知比较灵活简练,用词表达可随

便些,较为口语化。

(二)通知的结构

通知一般由标题、正文和结尾三部分组成。标题部分包括常用标题语和发出通知的单位

名称;正文包括事情、通知对象、要求、时间(有时还包括地点)等;结尾部分主要包括发通

知的具体日期。英文通知的格式一般是将 NOTICE(每个字母都大写)写在通知正文上面一行

的正中间。发出通知的单位名称可以写在 NOTICE 上面,也可以写在通知正文的右下角;发

通知的日期一般写在通知正文的左下角。

(三)通知的书写

1.发出通知的单位和对象在一般情况下用第三人称,如要求同学们按时到会,不说“We

must...”或“You should...”,而应写成:All the students are requested to be there on time.

2.在语言上,口头通知的句型应该做到口语化,多用简单句和祈使句,语言上尽可能用

精炼的文字表达明确的信息。通知中提及的事情都是计划要做的,时态多用将来时,语态多

用被动式。

在句式上,常以“Boys and girls/Ladies and gentlemen”等作为称呼语。开头常用句式是“May

I have your attention,please?/Attention,please./I've got something important to say./I'm very

glad to tell you that.../Please be quiet,everyone! I have something to say./I have some good news

for you!/There will be a talk tomorrow./The sports meeting will be held.../It has been decided that

we'll pay a visit to...”,在通知结尾处常用句式“Please be there on time”并以“That's all.Thank

you”作为客套结束语。

3.书面通知常以布告形式张贴或写在布告牌、黑板上,把事情通知到有关人员等。为醒

目起见,标题的每个字母可以用大写(如 NOTICE)。一开头需要交代说明何事(what)、何地

(where)、何时(when)、何人(who)。

4.在句式写法上必须注意以下几点:①尽可能用精炼的文字表达明确的信息,多用简单

句或短句、单句,以避免繁杂;②通知往往着重对活动内容、对象进行说明,多用被动语态,

如“The class meeting will be held...”(班会将举行……)等等;③通知是要求下级成员该做什么或

注意什么,多用祈使句;④通知中所告知的事情大部分是未进行的,故多用将来时态。

简而言之,一份好的书面通知应具备以下三点:

1.四多一少。四多:被动语态多,将来时态多,简单句多,祈使句多。一少:修饰性词

语少。

2.通知的开头要交代清楚活动的内容、对象、时间和地点。我们称之为四 “W”。即:

what,who,when,where。

3.层次清晰。一个层次表达一件事,切忌在一个句子中表达多件事情。

1.掌握口头通知的特点

口头通知即以口头的形式表达通知的内容,其特点是:用词较口语化,句子不会太复杂,

通常只需用一段话讲清其内容即可。另外,口头通知的开头和结尾通常都有一定的固定套语,

同学们也应特别注意。

2.妥用口头通知称呼语

口头通知的开头称呼语通常需根据听众的具体情况来确定,有时还要考虑其场合是否正

式。如在比较正式且男女听众兼有的场合,通常用 Ladies and gentlemen 来称呼听众,同时

注意该表达的词序,不要想当然地将其倒过来,且一定要用复数。当然,若听众中只有男士,

则只用 Gentlemen;或者只有女士,则只用 Ladies。但是,如果在非正式场合,则比较随便。

对学生用的称呼语通常是 Boys and girls。

3.熟记口头通知套语

(1) 在用口头下达通知时,发通知者通常要将听通知人的注意力吸引过来,这类表达常

见的有:
