Disegnata nel 1963, Seki-Han esprime la complessa e raffinata poetica progettuale di Scarpa. Composta da due scultoree pale in legno che racchiudono una sorgente luminosa tubolare, nella sua costruzione trae ispirazione dall'architettura navale e dalla profonda conoscenza del legno da parte del designer.
First designed in 1963, Seki-Han is a masterpiece that reflects Scarpa's refined sensibility. Formed by two sculptural wooden blades enclosing a tubular light source, its intricate construction draws on naval architecture and Scarpa's deep knowledge of woodworking.

SuperWire di Formafantasma nasce da una sperimentazione fatta con il filamento LED che i designer hanno modificato e che grazie alla sua flessibilità e alla sua forma, hanno dato vita ad una collezione di lampade modulari che uniscono l’impronta industriale ai criteri di un design senza tempo.
Formafantasma's SuperWire is born from the designers' experimentation with the illuminating filament of LED bulbs, which they manipulated in its flexibility and aesthetic presence to create a collection of modular lamps that merge an industrial attitude with timeless design codes.
Nella versione Motion, Skynest sembra fluttuare nell'aria in un equilibrio elegante, sostenuta da uno stelo in tinta con i colori dei paralumi. Lo stelo, agganciato al soffitto e teso verso il pavimento con un contrappeso, è quasi invisibile per via del suo spessore ridotto al minimo.
In the Motion version, Skynest seems to float in the air in an elegant balance, supported by a stem matching the colors of the lampshades. The stem, hooked to the ceiling and stretched towards the floor with a counterweight, is almost invisible due to its thickness reduced to the minimum.

Fast forward to 2022, and now Arco is being celebrated by Flos
with a limited edition of 2022 pieces that pay tribute to the Castiglioni's design, bringing the silhouette of the lamp to the
forefront. ‘Arco was the result of one of the happiest intuitions
in the history of design and is universally acknowledged as an
ambassador of Made in Italy in the world', says Brambilla. The
anniversary becomes an opportunity to rethink the lamp and enhance the design gesture of the Castiglioni brothers: the arch itself, the true essence of the project.'

si sarebbe potuto utilizzare
la luce nel modo in cui si
manifesta nel nostro ambiente e nel nostro paesaggio,
mai diretta, ma spesso
attraversata dalle nubi o
riflessa dagli oggetti, dai
muri e dalle superfici. Quindi anziché dire “disegniamo
una lampada” mi sono detto “disegniamo un apparato
che sia in grado di prendere la luce da una sorgente
artificiale e rifletterla
nell'ambiente con una certa intelligenza e grazia”...
Ho preso una forbice, un
grande foglio di cartoncino e ho iniziato a tagliare qualche cosa che potesse diventare un cilindro con alla sommità un cappello più largo che,
ricongiunto sul lato destro
e sinistro, avrebbe potuto
servire da riflettore della
sorgente di luce ospitata nella base."

“One day in my studio it came to me that we could use light the way it manifests in our surroundings and our landscapes—never directly, but often through clouds or reflected off objects, walls, and surfaces. And so, instead of saying let's design a lamp', I said, 'let's design an apparatus that can take light from an artificial source and send it back into our surroundings with a certain intelligence and grace'... I took some scissors, a big piece of card, and I started to cut out something that could be made into a cylinder with a wide hat on top that, when joined on the right and left-hand side, would act as a reflector of the light source housed in the base." – Mario Bellini
NOCTAMBULE
The carefully calibrated LED technology which powers the lamps is discretely integrated into the junctions between the glass modules. Almost absent, but ready to be activated at any (night-)time.
Noctambule: il nottambulo, o animale notturno. Quasi invisibile di giorno, ma dedito ad affascinanti attività di notte. Un'analogia perfetta.
Noctambule: the night owl or reveller. Mostly invisible during the day, but coming to glamorous activity at night-time. The analogy is fitting.
La superficie luminosa, perfettamente omogenea e d’ispirazione “lunare”, è frutto della rivoluzionaria tecnologia Edge Lighting, che unisce massime performance, efficienza e comfort visivo. Il prodotto include la funzione Dim-to-Warm: scendendo di intensità, la luce passa da un tonalità di bianco più fredda ad uno spettro più caldo, come nelle affezionate lampade a filamento.
The light surface, perfectly homogeneous and “moon-inspired”, is the result of the revolutionary Edge Lighting technology, which combines maximum performance, efficiency and visual comfort. The product includes the Dim-to-Warm function: as the intensity decreases the light goes from a colder blue tone to a warmer spectrum, like in the wellloved filament lamps.
Nello stelo è incluso il sensore Soft Touch che reinventa l’interazione con il prodotto. Esso garantisce un controllo fluido e preciso del flusso luminoso con un semplice e naturale tocco della mano.
The stem includes the Soft Touch sensor, which reinvents interaction with the product. This guarantees a fluid and precise control of the light flow with a simple and natural touch of the hand.
Il corpo illuminante è formato da quattro elementi identici intrecciati tra loro a formare una calotta unita, ispirati alle classiche armature giapponesi antiche. Il nome Tatou deriva dal francese e significa armadillo.
The luminaire is made up of four identical intertwined elements which form a unified dome, drawing its inspiration from ancient Japanese armour. The name Tatou is French for armadillo.

Like the hi-tech product it is, Bibliotheque Nationale is fitted with a USB port, placed on the base, for recharging the most common brands of smartphone.
TOIO LED
Apparecchio di illuminazione da terra a luce indiretta. Base di acciaio tranciato e piegato e struttura in profilati d’acciaio, entrambi verniciati a liquido, nei vari colori. Stelo con sezione esagonale in ottone nichelato. Il movimento telescopico dell'asta consente la regolazione dell'altezza dell'apparecchio. Sul cavo è presente il dimmer elettronico che consente la regolazione a step dell'intensità luminosa.
Floor lamp providing indirect lighting. Angle iron and formed steel base, painted in a variety of colors. Hexagonal nickelplated brass height-adjustable stem with telescopic head. On the cable there is the electronic dimmer which allows the regulation of light brightness.
SUPERARCHIMOON
Lampada da terra a luce indiretta, Luminator è composta da un treppiede scomponibile e da un tubo, largo appena quanto basta per contenere il portalampada.
Floor lamp providing indirect light, Luminator is made of a decomposable tripod and a tube, just wide enough to contain the bulb socket.
Un classico degli anni ‘50, Luminator di Achille e Pier Giacomo Castiglioni ritorna in cinque brillanti colori che ne esaltano le forme essenziali. Una lampada che un esercizio di minimalismo funzionale e il cui colore originale antracite viene arricchito da una nuova paletta pop di bianco, rosso, giallo e lite blue. In questo album fotografico, il fotografo Alecio Ferrari e i set designer Studio Testo hanno sperimentato i nuovi colori e le forme essenziali di Luminator.
A 1950s classic, Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni's Luminator returns in five bright colours that enhance its essential shapes. A lamp that is an exercise in functional minimalism, the original anthracite colourway is enriched with a new, pop palette of white, red, yellow and lite blue. In this photographic portfolio, photographer Alecio Ferrari and set designers Studio Testo experimented with Luminator's new colours and its essential forms.
